right I have spent tonight sorting out a new meal planner for this week starting tomorrow - I say new because we are getting a bit sick of the usual stuff so I have decided to shake it up a bit :o

listed below are 6 dinners which I need to sort into days and for the seventh day we will be having some leftovers :p

bean burgers in buns with relish and salad ( thanks gingham )
curried cod with broccoli, carrots and potato wedges ( thanks mr pataks! )
quorn burgers with hm cole slaw & salad ( thanks quorn website )
veggie bangers n mash with peas & carrots
lentil shepherds pie & sweetcorn ( thanks gingham )
galette au chou with carrots & roast potatoes

    lunches

cream of veg soup (HM - old schwartzkoph recipie)
lentil, carrot & tomato soup (HM own recipie)
tuna sandwiches ( got quite a glut of tuna to use up )

    puddings

    angel delight, jelly, yoghurt

    snacks

    fruit, flapjacks, shortbread

Im having a freezer clearout tomorrow too because there is stuff in there that could be older than my DD  and also I am hoping to freeze some of the dinners that will be left over for the following week :D

not sure if the above meal plan is nutritionally balanced though but it will definately be a welcome change to rubber chicken, spag bol, mince & mash & chilli con carni.

    Thanks for all the replies:D

In the last 4 days for lunch OH & I have been having a piece of quiche or ham, served with some new potatoes and salad with a nice light dressing and it has been going down a treat.

All the menus look and sound delish...keep them coming!

    Hugs

    Morning all,

Have only meal planned to Wednesday so far (that's when I get my next fruit n veg delivery!).

So this week looks like this:

    Saturday: Chicken Stir Fry
    Sunday: Chilli and HM Wedges
Monday: Lentil Shepherds Pie and Peas (Thanks Gingham!)
Tuesday: Toad in the hole with mash, peads and gravy
Wednesday: Cauliflower, Potato and Brocolli curry with rice

We eat a lot of meat in our house (when I was growing up, Dad used to say that it wasn't a meal without some form of meat!!) Over the next few weeks, I want to reduce the amount of meat based meals we eat (maybe down to 3/4 a week) so that we get a good mix of foods, and use up our veg box! :D

    Thanks,

    Sarah xx

As I mentioned last week, DH is away in Texas on business this week. We're going to take advantage of that and eat *pot-luck* from the freezer.

    So far I've found:

    Pizza - with salad
HM Burgers - with HM wedges, coleslaw and salad
Veg curry, pork curry - with rice, peas, carrots, cucumber raitha and naan bread
Veg chilli - with pasta, garlic bread and salad
Lamb chops - only 2 so Small Penguins will have them with mustard and honey, baked potato, veg

Ice cream - finished ends of 2 tubs
Raspberries, blueberries - with HM meringues saved from last week, and cream
    Apple pie
Plum, sour cream and cinnamon tart

Quiche portions and wraps for DD's pack-ups

Will post later with what else I manage to use up.
