  • I found the form by Googling "f&c stakeholder ctf change of instructions".It currently comes out as the top hit. I would post the link, but as a new member this forum won't let me.

    It's not that easy to find! There is absolutely no mention in either the letter F&C sent, or on their online 'What are my options?' page about switching to the F&C stakeholder CTF; which is scandalous in itself - they obviously don't want you to.

    What rate has it grown by on the Stakeholder account over the last 2 or 3 years?

    Also how do you transfer from shares to stakeholder within F&C, I've tried to find it on their site but I cannot seem to find the right page and many come up as page not found when you click on their own links, as if they don't want you to find it, or am I being paranoid, or maybe I am just in the wrong place?

    The link is https://www.fandc.com/documents/ctf--change-of-instructions-form

    Growth depends on the funds held inside the CTF. We don't know which ones you picked so can't compare but if you look here you'll be able to get comparisons

    I am probably being a bit dumb here but are there funds held with the stakeholder version like the shares version or does it track something like the FTSE100, i.e. still trying to work out how the Stakeholder version has done?

    Taken from the instruction form;

    (There is only one fund choice available under the F&C CTF
    Stakeholder account, the F&C FTSE All-Share Tracker Fund (Share Class 1
    Accumulation).

    Ok I have done it, sent the form off to get my sons policy transferred over to a stakeholder type and put in a letter to say I would like it done in time to avoid the £25+vat charge in April but lets see how ruthless they are, i.e. will they still take the charge first and then transfer me giving me some rubbish about how long it takes to transfer. There is over 2 week to go until new financial year at the moment (so long enough) which is when they said they will implement the charge if I remember correctly from the letter.
  • So I'm not really up on all this so some help would be really appreciated.
    I received my d's statement today and on the notes part it tells me that they are charging an annual management fee of 1.5% of the value of the shares held in fund which will be calculated daily and deducted from the income of the fund on a daily basis.
    Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

    Now on my statement I have 2 figures which I gather the is the shares from the original money that was from the government and the second figure that I think is the money I pay in each month? :o
    But on the final figure for transaction from last year to this year the total number of shares held is the same.
    Do they not take into account the money you have paid in the last 12 months as I would of thought the share would of gone up.

    any help with all this would be fantastic
    If it's cheap I Like it. If its Free I love it!
