Received an offer of £295.45. Well surprised that it was so much (even tho its tiny compared to some refunds!)
That's across 4 different accounts, 2 of which I never had ppi on, one which was cancelled before it started, so the reset come from the last account which was a loan that I paid off as part of my last remortgage so I didn't have it for the full term either,
So I am well pleased with that now, all for the price of one stamp and one phone call :-)0 -
quick update
got a letter in the post yesterday (postmark 15th) to say a cheque had been ordered and would be forwarded to me within 7 days of the date of this letter (dated 11th), so nearly there....i hope...
it is now a total of 296.95 due to interesed only being calculated to the 15th April initially! at least they are on the ball from that POV0 -

Hi,
Like yourselves I got a letter out of the blue from Black Horse at the end of Feb. Filed in the questions stressing the fact that I thought PPI was a condition of the loan. I also mentioned that as a University worker my sickness / redundancy were pretty generous and PPI would not offer any greater benefit.
The letter mentioned only one loan and I asked them to check for other loans with them as I added to the original loan at a later date.
Got a letter 2 weeks ago stating three policies with them and my complaint upheld - amount just under £16k. Good timing as I'm now off sick but as it's with new employer my sick pay is only for a month. Strange coincidence hey!
Only gripe make sure you send your acceptance letter by registered post - they keep saying they don't have it.
Now off to read the Santander advice on here as they are my main bank - annoyed that they haven't taken this proactive approach!0
