Afternoon all. I posted the cat/pill thingy cos I needed a laugh after the week I've had.
It started with DS2's car playing up, cost £150 to fix. Then my drains blocked, and flooded my neighbours garden and I had to call out Dynarod. Thank goodness I had drains cover on my BG account. The man told me that they charge £76 +vat just to look, then charge by the half hour, they were here two and a half hours . Note to all....get insured.:D
I burned my arm on the oven shelf, and I was allergic to the dressing I had to use to cover it for work, so had a big red rash around an already nasty looking burn, not a good look.:o.
I was going to order my $ for my trip in May and the rates all went way down overnight.
Despite rigorous following of the SW diet I only lost a pound this week.
One of my Quidco receipts was refused.
Got majorly trouted over a dtd beef joint last night.
The final straw, DS1 has very generously passed on the cold he brought home on Wednesday! Someone turned a tap on in my right nostril overnight.
I hope you are all well, (well, better than me at least!), sending big germy hugs out to anyone that needs one ;).
I'm going to lurk now while I compile more lists for tcb and q and apg.
I've more or less given up on porkies now. I hate waiting interminably for them to come back, only to find that half the stuff that should compare, doesn't. APG all the way, love that you only have to wait 3 hours, and you get the extra 10%.
    See you all later. x

If the blockage is AFTER the manhole then the water board are now responsible - just the part up to the manhole that the householder is now responsible for. This is a new ruling from last year.

Loved the cat V pill bit, though my OH was giving me some funny looks as I was laughing so hard!! Makes me realise why we do not have a cat!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • Good afternoon Elite,

I popped into my A's today on the hunt for the bombay pots but couldn't find any. I did find smaller tubs (200g) at £1 odd. If it isn't too much trouble might someone be able to post a pic of them please?

    Thankyou in advance,

    Spots

Incidentally has anyone had Sainsburys till spits this week. I've used both of my cards on about 3 shopping trips this week and neither have produced anything - usually the little used card gives me a £2 wys £20 or 200 points and the main card gives me a conditional spend for £60 - this one always gets passed along.

But nothing at all this week so might have to do something radical to my normal spending pattern - 1stly I am not spending anything anyway if there are no tills spits to be had

Also I might spend some of nectar poitns on gift cards - B&Q etc to se if my points balance is the problem.

Not going shopping any more for a few days now unless there is a dramatic glitch as we have plenty of everything and no more room in the fridge, freezer or cupboards :T
Thank-you to everyone who posts comps
  • The 1/2 legs of lamb in my Tesco had like loads of fat streaked inbetween the bits of meat (Yes, I know this is how it's meant to be) it looked more like streaky bacon (I can't eat that unless it's crisped up) than a joint of meat:rotfl:
Hello, If you like lamb, but not the fat, cook it a day earlier than you want it, remove from roasting pan and put into fridge once cold. Pour the liquid left from cooking into a bowl and the the veg into another bowl.( I usually roast lamb above a bed of 3 chopped carrots and an onion, covered in half a bottle of red wine, topping up with water during cooking so that about 1/2 pint of liquid remains ) and cool and put both into fridge to make gravy with next day, when solid fat can be peeled off top. Next day all the fat will be solid on the lamb joint and you can peel the lean meat from fat and bones of joint and put in a dish to warm up later. . .Chop up all that nasty lamb fat and feed to birds!
I am not young enough to know everything.
  • Thanks so much for this FloFlo, picked up some for DD1's Bestie. Got her 4 packs of the Size 3, 60 in a pack for £2 a pack. She's just texted me, ever so grateful to you too.

Lots on top shelf, so in Lala's words "Look up". Empty shelves for size 4.

Also noticed the starter packs are now £2.74 (after going back up after the baby promo). HTH

so, are these already reduced in sada now? hduk says 25th?
