When they used to do r&r I had tvs, mobile phones, microwaves, digital radios, hi fis, games console, irons, toasters. Presents at Xmas and B'days were much nicer from me then than now :D I also always had a freezer full of joints and chickens. Had to have some balls then, especially when overcharged only by a penny each on 2 irons.:p

Ahh, so that was where you got your 'balls' from was it, FloFlo? I think that we all 'grew' some during those times but as you've said, the rewards were quite high. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Talking of r&r, a couple of names from then posted on the dtd thread - ampersand and taxiphil

Think I posted this on here the other day but in the light of the recent dtd chat, in 2 of my stores they have them in a couple places which is why tickets are getting missed, good luck.

Look out THX hairdryers, stylers, SELs OOD yesterday just got an almost freebie on the sleek and chic styler priced at £22 scanned at 44.94 net cost 6p. Also used a £10 off £70 spend (that I had already used on 2 home delivery shops) and a £4 off £40 spend which could be used twice - lovely cashier said do you want to use it twice now. Oh yes!

THX Hairdryer was in a black and pink box with see through top 'Sleek and Chic Hair Dryer' this one was less than half price on the offer but some of the others said 1/3 off so wouldn't be free after dtd.

    No cheap kitchen rolls though.

One in that range, I think it was the THX hairdryer/volumiser thingy, was the only one in my T that still showed the OOD SEL but it still scans at the old offer price:)

You cook it, remove all of the fat and then slice it, discarding any remaining fat. As you've only paid £1 per kg, you don't have to make the meat 'stretch' to make it an economical meal. It only has to 'do' one meal for a family. Leftovers, if there are any, can be frozen in gravy/water to use another time.

The 1/2 legs of lamb in my Tesco had like loads of fat streaked inbetween the bits of meat (Yes, I know this is how it's meant to be) it looked more like streaky bacon (I can't eat that unless it's crisped up) than a joint of meat:rotfl:

Deduct the cost out of his pocket money, I made my DD buy a school coat out of her money she had saved when she lost her new school coat.
