No secret Dave, a very old family recipe Im happy to share.
Tablet.- Tin of condensed milk,
- bag of sugar (minus two tablespoons, stick them in your sugar bowl, this recipe is pre metric)
- a cup of milk
- knob of butter.
When its a nice brown take off the heat and add a teaspoon of vanilla essesce and beat it till it thickens, pour it quickly into a greased or lined baking tray.
Score it while warm and break it when cold, if you can leave it that long.:DLove your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -
Morning everyone:)Just nipping in really quickly and one for the "snappers" because this has really made me giggle. Whoopsied loads of Hovis loaves last night at 14p a loaf, put it in to TCB and its payable this morning at 25p:T:T:TSo now I'm getting paid to take my whoopsies away:TBeware!!!! Emily_Rachel wrote: »Hi, I always look out for the shelf price per kg being half the pack price per kg. This will mean meat will be free. Eg the pork at 6.99 pack but 3.49 on SEL today. The closer to half price the more almost free it is. Saves on too much maths in the food aisle! I always check out any 'half price' meat offers in T, and so far have had chicken, lamb and beef at different times.
Thanks.....for a dummy like me, this is probably the best way. I'm confusing myself more and more. Is it too early to start drinking. Oh wait, thats probably the reason my braincells are dead.....
It's a vicious circle :rotfl:if you don't have anything nice to say, keep schtum.

Emily_Rachel wrote: »Good morning everyone. When worming my cats I try a cheap tasty pate as disguise. A tiny bit without pill so that they get the taste for it then a bigger bit with the pill hidden inside. Of the 3 cats it always works on one, sometimes on another, but the third.... no chance! We have to resort to wrapping her quickly in a towel (to disable the flaying claws a little) and flicking it down her mouth, holding jaws closed until she swallows. Sometimes this works first time. Funnily enough this is also the cat that really loves crunchy cat biscuit treats. Now if only someone would come up with a worming pill that looks and tastes as good as a cat treat. Hmmmm. I think I have an idea ....!
What a great idea re the pate. Will definitely try this next time :T:happylove Nanny to 2 Cherubs :happylove0 -
Cheers! Will keep an eye out for this!
Thank you so much! I've used your calculations with a calculator and it makes sense now! I get it!!!! I really appreciate your spoonfeeding me. Hopefully I'll be able to find the lamb and go for it armed with your simple explanation!
Thank you so much for your explanation!
Edit:
Oh gosh...now I'm confused again. I'm getting 21.59 as the DTD using this methhod. Yikes.
Correct me if I'm wrong (which I prob am).
10.99 - 8.00= 2.00
2.00 x 1.349 (wt) = 4.03
14.83-4.03= 10.80
10.80 x 2 = 21.59
??? Told ya I suck.Tiger

It's brilliant isnt it? I bought 8 of them so put them in with Quidco as well, so if they pay out for another 3 that'll mean all my 8 loaves will have cost 14p:T:T:TBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Well I have had an acknowledgement and a confirmation, so it's all good. Thanks for pointing this out to me lovely, I owe you.
They have stopped the high definition body lift now, so it's only 1000 points and the tonic gift thing. Still good though. They had that 3 super sized samples at Debenhams recently. The lady was really nice at the till and each time, she gave me 5 instead of 3. It really does help to tell them how nice their hair looks even if it does look like a donkey's tail.;);)[/QUOTE]
Don't worry I know you are one of our resident shoes fans!
And that did make me pmsl!
