Sorry to be a dummy but I don't get how you work out the correct dtd for these sorts of things.

I saw some of the lamb - £10.99/kg on the pack but £8.00/kg on the sel. The pack itself was priced up at £14.83. Assuming I bought 2 similar packs, what would be the dtd? Would some kindhearted, maths genius please explain the calculations to this horsemeatandmathsophobic fella? I didn't even try for dtd because I couldn't work it out in my head. Sucks to be me!

    Cheers in advance

Check the price as the lamb is marked at £6.00 per kg at most places so you'll pay approx £1 per kg. :)

If the joint was £14.83 then it weighed 1.349kg.

So you multiply that by £8.00 per kg making £10.79 for the joint.

Difference £4.04 so DTD refund £8.08 making cost of joint £6.75.

I got 3 joint of the slow roast beef yesterday. Paid £29.17 and got £21.78 DTD back. I got more Dtd there cause the beef was on offer for £5.00 a kg but went through at £8.00 a kg

I always check the calculations when i get to the car for dtd as a lot of the CS people do not know how to work it out. Unfortunately it was the sour faced cs lady whose face was even more sour when she had to give me the money back. Off to Mr t for free drinks for cinema tonight. Got 2 free tickets to Argo from Mail On Sunday last week.

When i tidied up my shed last week i found 2 James Martin plain Dinner Services from 2 years ago when I got £840.00 worth of good in Mr t on DTD over 10 days.
  • Morning luvlies, thanks for the worm tablet tip FloFlo, if Stanley Boy ate ham like a woofer that would be a fab idea, but although he does eat a little ham, being a puddy cat he's too cute to fall for that trick :rotfl:. Arm is almost back to normal now.

Not sure if already mentioned, got my Bzz Flora trial this morning, not an actual tub but a voucher to redeem on a tub in Tesco plus some extra MOCs. Will pick one up tomorrow when I collect my free ham, cheers for the ham deal Pixie :D
Good morning everyone. When worming my cats I try a cheap tasty pate as disguise. A tiny bit without pill so that they get the taste for it then a bigger bit with the pill hidden inside. Of the 3 cats it always works on one, sometimes on another, but the third.... no chance! We have to resort to wrapping her quickly in a towel (to disable the flaying claws a little) and flicking it down her mouth, holding jaws closed until she swallows. Sometimes this works first time. Funnily enough this is also the cat that really loves crunchy cat biscuit treats. Now if only someone would come up with a worming pill that looks and tastes as good as a cat treat. Hmmmm. I think I have an idea ....!

I spoke too soon earlier on- it's started snowing here in London now. Luckily DW and DS have taken the dog for a walk while I'm snug indoors!:j

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/5000-nectar-points-from-orders-over-30-pounds-using-voucher-code-viking-direct-1454343

Saw this on hukd so thought I would chance it, so gave it a go and it worked. Ordered 36 rolls of Velvet toilet roll and 750g of Nescafe, after tcb, 5064 nectar points and credit card cashback worked out at £5.42 delivered if you consider Nectar points as cash. Obviously, various combinations. I think it's a Nectar Business / Viking promotion but not sure as I just used the codes on hukd, I linked my personal Nectar card to my Business. Then, followed the instructions on hukd, ordered yesterday and delivered today and points added today. Make sure you read the thread as it's a bit fiddly:)
Thanks, I ordered with them last night. I think I did it right.
Expected delivery Monday so fingers crossed!

You need to multiply £2.99 ( £10.99 - £8.00 ie the overcharge per kg) by the weight on the pack you bought. Then deduct that sum (which is what you SHOULD have been charged )from the actual price on the pack. That gives you the overcharge. Multuply that by 2 for DTD.
