I only buy on Ebay, can't be bothered with selling but if I buy something which says £4 P&P then I factor that into what I want to pay (ie my total bid will be £6 if I'm willing to pay£10) - none of this asking for a reduction carp

I thought the sellers could ask whatever they want P&P and it was the buyers choice if they wanted to bid on it ....

I agree with this 100%. I actually once posted 2 items together and it worked out dearer than posting them separately. God knows how that is worked out lol x

For anyone in C4rdiff local to Mr A Coryt0n...

Andrex Eco 9 roll at £3....huge display as you walk in. I know someone said they found it at £1.75  somewhere else lucky beggar but it's a good one for the quidco/tcb cashback.

HTH any locals and maybe available in other A's, cheaper than T's lowest 9 pack anyway!

That's alright I guess if you know what the exact postage cost is going to be. If you stipulate postage at £4 and PayPal deduct £4 for postage but you could have saved a pound by going to the P.O and having it weighed properly then going to the P.O is the way to go.

You have to be careful with the print your own label option as its your responsibiliity to correctly weigh the item and input that. the software then calculates the cost based on the weight and class you want to send. it doesnt link to whatever you have quoted in eBay (as they do allow you to allow for reasonable packaging and transportation costs). the other watchout on this option is if you print it and post in a post box you have no proof of postage, which must be obtained fro a post office

As for a discount on buying multiple packages, there is an option to specify an automatic discount, and i would argue that its a courtesy to ask before the auction closes whether theres a discount.

i cant see he can report you in a way that will cost you money, but he may give a poor review unless you cna satsify him that there was £2.80 worth of packaging/ transportation. eBay have added postage limits now as some people took the mickey

    Good afternoon peeps.

SPIRALLINGDOWN, I am sorry to hear you are feeling so down and not at all well. I wish I could help, families can be such a pain in the backside, a lot of the time they are prepared to take but reluctant to give. You know what they say "you can choose your friends but not your relations." I consider myself blessed that I have "some" I can rely on but I have been used and then left 'hung out to dry' by others. Keep your chin up, you have us, we will always listen, rant as much as you like. Sending you huge hugs x

DOPEY1980, me and the OH used to sell on ebay and a lot of our friends still do. I do not know of one person that puts the EXACT postage costs when listing. You have to allow for packaging and there can always be a little discrepancy at the post office no matter how good you are. I personally don't think your costs were unreasonable and as another poster said you factor the postage in when you bid on an item.

I hope everybody is having a good day, take care all x
