I haven't done any selling on ebay for a couple of years now but have you considered using the Paypal postage labels? You need a printer to do them but they don't show the cost of postage on them so makes it less likely for any challenge to the postage cost.

Oh, I didn't know I could do that. And PayPal deduct the cost of postage from my account?

I'm getting seriously hacked off with eBay.

Sold two items to same buyer....

Buyer messages me and asks for discount on postage.

Messaged back saying can't due to size and weight and that I was being generous with postage so as not to put off bidders. Postage on each item was £4 x 2 = £8.

Marked item as shipped shortly after posting it.

Buyer contacted asking how much postage was.

    Replied "£5.20"

Buyer - "You owe me £2.80 then"

Me - "Listen buddy, theres more to postage costs than the price of a !!!!!!! stamp, i.e. the box and bubble wrap and my time to go to the post office etc."

Buyer - "I'm reporting you to eBay"

Tell them you live miles away from post office! Although if you posted them together as one and charged postage in each item I can see where they are coming from as this happened to me n I was pretty annoyed. Furthermore, they may give you a negative, if you can cope with that fine. They can't report you for this only mark you down on the postage stars. Maybe offer half when feedback is given so they don't neg u. Hth

There's an option at the drop down box when you've sold an item to print postage label (I don't have a printer so have never used it before) but yes, I think it then comes out of your Paypal account.

There's bound to be some on here who use it so it might be better explained by someone else.

I feel for you here dopey, this is why I hate selling on ebay. Some buyers are unbelievable and will ruin the hard work I have put into my feedback score without a reason. At the moment I'm not selling due to it not being worth the hassle x
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

Well I had £4 postage on each item. I could have sent them separately but it was easier to put them together plus I had a box that would fit the two and I didn't have two single boxes.

    First Class £8.80
    Second £8
    Standard £5.20

Any muppet should know that packaging has to come in to the it too.

But surely PayPal can't guess the postage price? surely Royal Mail still need to weigh it and add the stamp. The price is printed on their stamp....

I picked up all 3 different packs at the same time as my buggy and didn't get that in mine :(
But I did end up with 3 vanish samples and MOCs (one in each) and about a thousand 1/2 price Aldi newborn nappy vouchers I now no longer need seeings as I had my baby last year :rotfl:
Loving the little sample packs of cream that came in them though, now is there a way for me to get more packs..... :D (I never got these with my last 2 kids as it was to complicated to get them so I think they owe me a few years worth ;) )
Well Ive just joined up again with a baby that was born 14th feb 2013 ;)

downloaded the 3 different types of bags...
Think we can print off as many as needed...I will try it on thursday!!

Oh new username, address, etc,, and new email...

I'm fairly new to eBay and I hate it already. Did you see the story I posted the other day about the item I won but the buyer refused to sell it to me and came up with excuse after excuse after excuse, even claiming I was in Mexico and that she'd already told me that she wasn't shipping there. She was definitely a sandwich short of a picnic.
