Well I had £4 postage on each item. I could have sent them separately but it was easier to put them together plus I had a box that would fit the two and I didn't have two single boxes.
First Class £8.80
Second £8
Standard £5.20
Any muppet should know that packaging has to come in to the it too.
Ah posting together I feel the buyer has a valid argument you see. I'm not getting at you or anything but if they bought two separate items and paid two separate postage then theoretically if that didn't happen they got a good argument IMHO.
Regarding postage and packaging, next time maybe stipulate on your listing that your postage cost include packaging transport etc..... I did this when sold something cheap with a high postage cost as to avoid % fees, as you don't pay them on p&p. The buyer complained after buying but I advised was in my listing and the item did not cost anymore than others with p&p included. I wouldn't do this often as eBay soon cotton on. Once bought some ck's from china with 1p for the items and £19.99p postage. Can't do this now as postage limited. For fakes there still a snug fit lmao tmiSIMPLES!0 -

I only buy on Ebay, can't be bothered with selling but if I buy something which says £4 P&P then I factor that into what I want to pay (ie my total bid will be £6 if I'm willing to pay£10) - none of this asking for a reduction carp
I thought the sellers could ask whatever they want P&P and it was the buyers choice if they wanted to bid on it ....There comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne ... Bette Davis0 -
But surely PayPal can't guess the postage price? surely Royal Mail still need to weigh it and add the stamp. The price is printed on their stamp....

I've just had a quick skim through that and it says there's an option as to whether you want to print the postage cost on the label or not.
Hope that link helps a bit.Many a mickle makes a muckle.0 -
Really had to laugh at this, I used to work with some severley disabled children, and indeed, this is what they did, poked their ears and got the same desired outcome :-) We even had a member of staff (male of course) who tried it and it worked for him too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Oh we'll there you go see I'm not talking rubbish :rotfl:0 -

Lets say I had posted them separately and the postage came to the same cost, it's no different.
I sold these...
So they are quite big and heavy (about a kilo each). I posted a pint glass and that weighed nothing but postage was £2.70 first class so I dread to think what the jugs would have cost individually, probably the same, if not slightly less than them sent together...0 -

I would agree I'm afraid. I would consider £8 a little too much when combining p&p and the actual cost was £5.20. As a seller I would add an extra £1-1.50 on that and discounted the p&p by say £1.50.
I think you will be marked down on your stars unless you post each separately.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

Thanks for this, just updated my topcash list but didn't realise Quidco also had new things on their list
I've done an excel chart with TC in one column and Q in another so I have to remember to put the items that on both lists opposite each other
QUOTE=Smart1e;59456957]Not sure if been posted yet -
Quidco ClickSnap added today (bottom of the list)
Andrex 9 roll £1.50 cashback
John West Tuna 4 pk £1.00 cashback
I feel like I'm in a parallel universe because these are also on TCB Snap and Save added yesterday...
Don't forget you can claim these up to 3 times on Quidco
These offers end 24th Feb same as the rest of the list

If you posted them separate @ about £8 the buyer would have no grounds at all to complain.SIMPLES!0

That's alright I guess if you know what the exact postage cost is going to be. If you stipulate postage at £4 and PayPal deduct £4 for postage but you could have saved a pound by going to the P.O and having it weighed properly then going to the P.O is the way to go.0 -

So I should have lost out on the cost of the box and the bubble wrap/foam nuggets etc..0
