Help with new phone please!

If you're downloading them directly onto your phone over the web, you won't need any CD

The CD would run on your PC, to aid in the transfer of files over USB to the phone

I just saw a picture of a Sagem MY401V and chuckled. I guess your new phone is quite a step forward from that

The CD contains the management software (PC Companion), as well as the USB drivers that enable you to use it as a basic storage device so you can transfer files using Windows Explorer.

PC Companion is needed for firmware updates, but it's pretty much useless for anything else.
In terms of management software, I'd recommend MyPhoneExplorer which you can get from http://www.fjsoft.at/en/downloads.php


I doubt that the handset you have purchased is brand new, primarily because it is 4 years since they were released.
My money is on it being either a refurb, or a fake seeing as it ships from China with only a 6 month vendor warranty.

I've read mailed some who have purchased this phone & nobody has complaints, they don't have a scratch on them & come with screen protector & original box etc! Someone said that they buy in bulk direct from Sony!

The seller says it also has imei number
