Hi everyone - I'm in again this week - thanks for the lists ladies. I didn't follow it to the letter last week, but I managed to keep everything tickety-boo, of sorts!
Just come in from work and enjoying a cold beer of the Spanish variety - lush. Before I went out to work I made a promise to myself to do 3 things, so I dusted the lounge which I haven't done in ages and it does get really grotty with an open fire. Everything else gets done in there - hoovering, mopping, decobwebbing, but the surfaces are always the last on the list. Anyway they are now done! :T
Also folded and put away all clothes that were sitting in baskets in my room making my head feel cluttered.
Made 2 loaves of bread to tie us over the expected spell of snow - they have it 30 miles away, but not here yet.
For a Brucie bonus, I attacked the sock basket and got most of it paired up and took the dog out for an hour for some ME time/exercise.
Quite happy with my day really.
Will tackle the baking cupboard before we go to the tip tomorrow with garden/shed/barn gibble as the farm is extremely cold and I've noticed a lot of my baking trays and muffin tins etc., have gone really rusty. It does come off to an extent with a cut potato, but I reckon silicone may be the way to go from now on. Anyone here use silicone stuff? I'm worried about how much they bend as opposed to rigid metal.
Bossy - sounds like your DS is about to have a growth spurt - mine eat me out of house and home when they are.
Night all - catch you tomorrow

Morning All
Hope you had a nice weekend, thanks to Dusty for this weeks lists, I am in again. My house is really looking good at the moment, yesterday for the first time in ages I wasn’t up to my eyes in housework! I also managed 2 big pots soup, 2 meals for freezer at weekend, after freecycler collected fireplace, I stripped the main wall in the LR so its not so nice in there, painter is going to be starting in 2 weeks so am off to pick a new sofa tonight, if DH does get the boot then his redundancy will pay for it!
My kitchen was all cleaned, floors & everything on Saturday so shouldn’t take much tonight, we clean the work surfaces every night after dinner anyway. The freezer is a problem, my chest freezer is full of meals/soup etc & I need that emptied a bit before I can defrost the kitchen one, although if its cold enough tonight, I could put the stuff in a cool box in the garage to allow it to defrost.
Natty – Happy Birthday :bdaycake: hope you have a lovely day whatever you are doing x

Good morning!
Thanks to Dusty :A and Natty :A for the lists :T
DS is on half-term this week, though there's no sign of him as yet
He's planning to go over to Manchester at some time to see his sister, and has course-work and studying to do.
Happy Birthday to Natty

I do and I love them
As an investment I bought the thickest I could find (Lakeland often have them on offer) and with a thick rim also, they stay pretty rigid. Place them on a baking sheet if you're concerned.
Off to find a list ..........:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

A quick update before the paid stuff starts. So far today, I've dusted the LR, hoovered downstairs, put out rubbish and charity bag, emptied and cleaned bins in kitchen, sorted recycling, done two lots of washing which is now on airer and cleaned all the glass in the kitchen.
Still to do from list after paid stuff if I'm awake enough:
Wipe worksurfaces
Clean floor
Both done yesterday and so it doesn't matter if I don't get them done again today.
I also need to post a parcel and walk the dogs when someone is here to sit with SickDog.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Happy Birthday Natty!
:bdaycake:
A bit of snow here overnight, but it's already melting on the patio and the outside temperature is going up. The birds are hungry, but there's no sign of the sparrowhawk - yet! My DH is threatening to put him in the SC - but he's got to catch him first
The inside temperature is also going up, as my OJM has texted me to say that he's going for treatment at the chiropractor's and will ring me later. We had just finished clearing the rooms that he needs to get to
Breakfast decluttered, eB@y parcel packed and ready to go, now to sort desk and fill car boot with things to take to CS later.
(((Hugs))) and spoons for all in need0
