Well, here I am. Signing up for the week and the first time in fact.

Started today quite well by putting bath mats and kitchen rug in the wash. Took a load of old clothes to get weighed in, got £6.88 for them. That'll pay for me to get to work and back tomorrow.

Done nothing since then though. Got invited out for lunch (kids party) and have just got home now. By the time I've had my bath it'll be time to go to bed. Suppose I should do the dishes I left yesterday first though.

I will attempt to tackle some more of the kitchen tomorrow after work.

Thanks Dusty for the thread and Natty for last week. I am not going to 'commit' to anything this week, that way I cant let myself down :o.

Ionafan, thanks its lovely to have DH home and you wouldnt know there had been anything wrong with him. he's offered to clean up the kitchen tomorrow and finish the washing but I think i will do as much of the kitchen as I can tonight.

Catch you all after work tomorrow
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Fredula there is not a master list, it is your list of everything that needs doing in your home, leaking front door, in-op shower head, blown light bulb etc

  • Hello all! I've been a flylady lurker for two years and this is my first post! I normally try to do a whole week's flying (with varying success) in one or two days at the weekend, but I'm newly between jobs, so am going to make the most (?) of time at home and try to properly blitz one room a day this week :)

Thanks for the list Dusty :D

I'm going to try to be in this week. I have loads of work admin to do and I also need to go to the bank before Wednesday so hopefully that can be a pleasant walk & some exercise for me. Which also reminds me that I need to buy a new shredder so I can get rid of the box full of paperwork since my one has finally given up on me :o

    Monday - Kitchen
    Level One

60 in 60 (newbie this is where you dash around the house for 60 minutes putting away or decluttering 60 items)
    Level Two
    Hoover and mop the floor
    Empty the bins
    Level Three
    Wipe the work surfaces
    Defrost the freezer
Clean any windows/glass/mirrors in this room
    Extras
    HHI
Send that email/message/phone call that you have been meaning to do for ages
Meal plan now you know what is in your defrosted freezer

Going to try and munch a kitchen frog tomorrow (washing the dead black mould off the ceiling that was meant to be done before Xmas) only thing is that it involves getting the big ladders out in a tiny kitchen so I can reach properly:(. Its got to be done before I can start thinking about decorating in there and if I don't make a start soon then it'll be 2014 before I know it and still nothing will have been done! :o:o

I'm off to do the 60 in 60 now, there's loads of recycling that needs to go out which can go out in the morning when DD goes to school which hopefully will be before the binmen arrive ;) I don't mind putting binbags of rubbish out at this time of night, but the noise out of the recycling is a bit much when I know there are small children in bed and in theory asleep ;)

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

yes - me and mummyoffive have intertwined lives now - I go past the bottom of her road when I take DD to/from Jiu Jitsu (sometimes) and I go where her OH works out of now, when DS goes to the GFs!

Anyway thanks for the lists - I am only working Mon/Tues this week as I have Wednesday off for when I am covering for job share after half term. I now need to remember to re-arrange the Nurses appointment I accidentally made for the week I am at work all week. A prod on Wednesday would be good. If anyone has a barge pole poke it my way;) I also need to book hairdressers...and maybe rearrange DD's dental appt.

I must also write a meal plan for the week after half term - shall do some batch meals, I think, and get the SC out;).

And I am getting caught up with the finances!
have re listed on flea bay

  • Hi all

    Thanks for the lists Dusty

    I'm in again this week.

May not manage a 60 in 60 in the kitchen as it has had a recent clear out (thanks to the hoarding thread) but will see what I can do and if need be go up to my room of despair (which is slowly becoming a use able spare room :T)

House is beginning to look better, although I'm struggling a bit with the lounge as my Dad is kindly decorating it for me (my xmas present from him) but it's taking a while. He managed to cut through my phone line today, thankfully he had spare wire but my computer has had to move to a different place and it's taking some getting used to (and I couldn't work out how to set up the wireless connection :o)

    Have a great week all

Can I count my 60 in 60 in the kitchen as odd storage bits - I need to go through my "tupperware" (it's not tupperware but it's easier to call it that!) cupboard and pair up lids with bottoms, and chuck what doesn't work/fit or doesn't have a bottom/top.? As that is going to be my job on Tuesday :D I have done most of tomorrows list this evening, inbetween programmes and playing on the tablet...lol

Narc0 and Iona a tweet from my sparrowhawk to your ones :D Funnily enough he was around yesterday but haven't seen him today. Can't blame him as the weather has been atrocious all day and now it is snowing quite heavily.

It better not lay, this snow, as I want to go out tomorrow...lol
