    Any news on grassgate?

When I moved into my first flat they'd taken the toilet seat (and all light bulbs, shelves, curtain poles etc, obviously). It was the toilet seat bit I really couldn't fathom. However, a lawn beats that.

Hygiene? I imagine many people would replace a toilet seat as soon as they moved in. So maybe they thought they'd take theirs and replace the one in the new house? (If there was one and that owner had taken it as well. :) )

Actually, I'm planning on taking my loo seat - as it's a wooden one with those "silvery" type fittings (ie dearer and better than the house's original one). I wouldnt want to have to buy it all over again, because I'd left it behind.

The light bulbs, curtain rails, carpets stay of course - unless they havent paid me enough for the place.;)

Surely if they hadn't paid you enough you wouldn't have accepted their offer ? ;)

Loo seat I honestly wouldn't care about as I'd be replacing it anyway - but an entire lawn is jaw dropping.

    .

Ah but....like most of us I expect...there are price levels and price levels:

    - Wow! Got lucky...got more than asking price (which I'm not expecting personally).

    - Asking price - okey-dokey and loads of goodwill

    - What I expect I will be offered (ie little bit less than asking price). Sold - oh well....

    - The whatnames have paid me a £1-£2k less than "what I expected to be offered", as they've carefully calculated what my "rockbottom - beneath that - I cant move at all" price is and are only paying me a couple of thousand £ more than that and I couldnt find a better offer darn them...

When I bought my flat and moved in I found that amongst other things, the sellers had removed not only the light bulbs but all the electrical sockets, light switches and light fittings from the ceilings. There were electrical wires sticking out of the walls and ceilings. I was surprised that they had left the wallpaper.!!
