I ordered wardrobes and specified my proposed fitting dates around another renovations , they promised that this was ok and then canceled the day before , even though they knew I had booked time off and delays would impact , they gave an alternative date and then did not show up , I was called by Jane the MD who promised a quick fitting and substantial compensation , fitting happened three weeks later and not even an apology ,wardrobes are lovely , Kerry the sales rep is outstanding , I have been inconvenienced and endured additional costs due to the delays , do not touch than with a barge pole !!!!! Hi everyone,
Chasewood have gone into admin, I was phoned yesterday by B and Q advising of this. Fortunately I will get my deposit back and will have to search for an independent person who fit wardrobes
You can check their site as well0 -
Chasewood has been quite disorganised for a considerable time. It has got worse this year and now they have gone into Administration. My husband was a fitter and payment has had to be chased frequently for a considerable time, I've spent a fair bit of my time emailing to chase cheque payments with the odd one bouncing and payment being 2-3 weeks behind. Luckily it looks like all customers will be reimbursed by B&Q, unfortunately we've lost several thousand pounds which we're unlikely to get back. Guess what?................... they've re-started their Company again, if you see a fitted furniture company with the same MD and new name avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!0

I have been informed by a couple of my customers that chase wood have gone out of business
B+Q are directing customers to other companies such as Sliderobes to fulfill the orders at their expense
worth looking at their web site , they are a UK based business with 30 years experience0 -
Ordered units in February. After many phone calls finally got a fitting date late May. Unfortunately some parts not delivered so not completed. After two other dates arranged and not kept finally told by B&Q about administration. Told to organize completion ourselves. We are now in limbo with B&Q saying that we are being unreasonable and saying we must still pay for the service we have not received.0

The office was fitted out last week and I am absolutely amazed by the quality and build of it - especially as the price was a 1/5th of Strachan and Neville Johnson and I cant see how they could be any better"
I was thinking of using them, since seeing them as a "suggested" post on FB, but wanted to do my research first. After reading this thread and seeing that they had gone into administration a year ago, I got suspicious.
The above quote is used on the front page of their website, so I'm guessing the above post is a plant from someone in the company. I don't feel I can trust them now.0 -
Hey babybunny!
I honestly did not use the chasewood furniture but I can recommend one company that I think is value for money.
So, I have used the service from """""""""""""""""22 to furnish my bedroom. I have bought two fitted wardrobes from them. They have done visuals and designs on first meeting so it was very impressive. The overall finish of the wardrobes is amazing
I am really pleased with my new wardrobes! If you are convinced to this company then give them a call on
I hope my recommendation would help you.

Hi all,
I bought fitted furniture for three bedrooms in June 2013 via B and Q from Chasewood. Two are fine but the black laminate gloss one is falling to bits. The glue has dissolved and the surfaces have shrunk, loose and falling off. Chasewood refuse to help and B and Q have washed their hands of it. I'm sure £3,000 could have been better spent! Gutted and sad that no-one will help.0 -
This is such an old thread and rammed to the gunnels with SPAM0

Hi, I'm in exactly the same position ... Bedroom fitted in 2013 have been trying to get repairs to bedroom furniture but neither companies will accept responsibility! This must be happening to a lot of customers! Both are refusing to help! Not sure where to go from here😟0
