That doesn't sound like a release today, does it, then. A slowly bleeding ulcer sounds horrible, but at least its something that can be dealt with, and like Squirrel said, he could feel a *lot* better really soon - tho yes, important not to rush about too much.

I am nearing the end of my rope, trying not to cry at my 100th viewing of frozen.
DH is waiting on blood tests before he can be discharged. I am having to keep the smalls up - they are overtired and extremely annoying. I *know* they will probably not get around to discharging him til 4am but we are having to wait by the phone anyway.
