    Squirrel that's my fave too.

Tilly I bet she gives me lousy feedback.

The barn conversion has no extra land available so not a runner.

Also I like a place with some potential for what the Muricans call "sweat equity".

I'll leave you my business card? Jesus wept...

I didn't realise that sweat equity was an American term :)

Maybe it isn't. MMM was the first place I heard it.

Jesus did indeed. You know when you clap eyes on someone and you just know they are flakey...

That's flaky and a half! What on earth made her think **anyone** would be happy with that? At least if she doesn't make good, you can have any feedback deleted as she's not a confirmed buyer?

    Rolls eyes at ebay buyer.
Property !!!!!! makes me wonder about moving to your area?? Could sell the Watty house, move to your area, have cash in pocket and have potential for income out of farm....Given current state of mind perhaps not best time to decide but ...wow they do look bargins compared with south east.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I definitely couldn't afford to live your way.
  • Well, you could.... But no room for the poor pony.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

    Thanks Ed.

Grrrr to flakey ebayers. Sold a fireplace, knew she was trouble because she wanted to come "around lunchtime" when I asked for an approximate time, she said 11.30-12 then rocked up at 11.

Then she announced she had brought no cash with her and proceeded to have to have it explained to her three times (and with me becoming more and more embarassed and exasperated) that she would not be leaving with the item until she paid.

Quotable quotes "But I'll leave you my business card" What?

Thinking of having a crack at the Paleo diet, but it will have to be vegetarian and with the addition of beans and quorn (from a fungus, right?!).

That's outrageous.... three times you had to explain???!
