We had houses in my primary (way back in the 70s) and my secondary (admittedly an all girls grammar) The secondary one had houses when my m-I-l went there (even further back in early 60s) - most schools around here seem to. Clearly here in Gloucestershire we're way ahead of HP!!:p:DI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200

My school had houses too, when my kids all got a place there we could express a preference for them to go into the same house that I had been in if we wanted to which I did, very strong house loyalty where I came from
Plus the different houses wore different colour uniforms just like Harry potter!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

My DD goes to my old school - so is in 'my' house. DS1 goes to DH's old school - and so is in 'his' houseSadly no different uniforms, just house ties
