Oh dear. Still, you preserved them for a while. Could you get some of those arm cover things? Are they called antimacassars?Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -

Think the 25 something year old fabric just gave out.
What a good idea. Antimacassars. Such a perfect word.
The Halloween party was very well behaved. It did leave me thoughtful though. If your child is brought up with so much self confidence that they speak like a pompous adult, have you done them a disservice?0 -
Glad it went well, other peoples children can be so "entertaining" sometimes :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Morning, I believe it's a parents job to bring up confident and capable people but that doesn't mean being pompous and parroting adults.
I have seen so many young people who are rude, 'mouthy' and frankly obnoxious. God help them in the future.

Ha ha entertaining is right!
If I felt equal to the airing cupboard I think I have some of those from the brown sofa. You can get little spiral pins to hold them on!
I am developing a bee in my bonnet about early retirement and decluttering.
Two bags (one of toys one of books) have gone to charity shop.
I am not doing very well with my spending diary though.

How about a rug/throw/blanket artistically draped over sofa arm? And you can wrap up in it to save on heating later in the year?
Once dyed a dust sheet to cover a sofa and with a bit of artistic draping and tucking it worked a treat!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
That is a good idea although the children will have made it into a tent in 30s flat...0
