Cheers m'dears.
I confess to singing loudly "stand up, baby stand up" every time anyone sat down today.0 -

:beer::beer::beer::j:j:j:j:D:D:D:DDo you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

May I declare your holiday officially started ... hope you enjoy a well earned break!
 To your fellow diners ... it's seeing "responsible" adults in families like that which reveals so much about some of the kids in school and why they're how they are doesn't it? Can't have been much fun for your family (or the manager).
Will follow your sofa tarting progress with interest ... only yesterday I declared ours more shabby than chic but they are great sofas, it's just the covers. I need ideas which go beyond crocheting granny square type covers, as Mr. Hbbb has strangely banned this as an option!
Will you (a) be sewing (b) be posting pics, Alchemilla? xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Yep holidays are here. Woop woop!
It does make you think about parenting. This sounds weird but I got the feeling the sons of this family didnt belong to the parents. Like they had got together to work a scam. Know it sounds farfetched.
Summer school was fascinating, great and exhausting. Only nine turned up with two adults but wow they worked! Lovely how they went from bunny in the headlights to confident young student by lunchtime, and how their personalities emerged!
I will take pics of the sofas and I will be sewing but I really not great at it and it will be more of a bodge.0 -
Enjoy the holidays :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I'll be watching your sofa sewing with interest.
Our sofas are currently just the right side of presentable, but within a couple of years will need sprucing up.
