Its just stupid. I have just left a job were some people were like this. I think some people need to act the hot shot to make themselves feel better.

Other people are just nice people (like me and you;) and everyone else on here) and wouldn't dream of doing this.

You are doing amazingly well, and we are all cheering you on!

Your colleagues sound needy and high maintenance!

I'm the opposite, never want to cause a fuss, and escalations still backfire on me. An example - emailed a senior manager twice, ignored. Spoke to their manager, who chased. Original manager sent to two other managers, ignored. Sit down meeting with very senior manager and senior manager, back to the two other managers. Ignored. But now the managers at the bottom of the tree are in a foul mood with me (despite completely ignoring me!) :rotfl:

    Work is challenging.

Oh there were people like that when I had a real job ALL the time. I used to encourage them to use the escalation process.

My biggest issue was the US who wanted to have meetings on a Friday evening, and would get dreadfully offended and uppity when I declined stating that I bet they REALLY didn't want me calling in from a Revolutions vodka bar....
