Glad kids are now pox free and settled!
I still have plenty of lbs to lose ... lost my mojo with weighing over the last month, but must try to get back to it! Veggie here too ... due to being soppy about critters and not liking meat texture and once having something evil removed from colon which meant being careful about introducing foods back into diet ... at that point (20+ years ago) I made the choice not to reintroduce meat.
My point of linking the two discussions is that as veggies, I thought we were supposed to have a reputation for being underweight? Clearly veg is a cheeky blighter and weighs much more than meat once ingested ... although I suspect a well known whizzy scientist will be along shortly to dispel my excuse! :rotfl:
A mid-week grotty timetable day is the pits, hope you get through it. Ok! XStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

What on earth do you eat for lunch that isn't a total faff to prepare? More to the point, do we have any vegans kicking about?
When you eat meat/cheese, it's easy, the answer is 'a sandwich'.
I had this discussion with Mrs E last night, neither of us came up with good ideas. Most of our ideas were basically 'pasta and veg'. I can't get the calories I need for health + exercise from pasta and veg alone :eek:0 -

Thanks Earthie. It could have been worse!
Ed I have noodles or cous cous as an alternative. Pour on boiling water and job done. 10-15 p on AF.
Floppy thanks I will look again. Um...where? Oh yeah...by the picture ofthe barcode?0 -
Ed ... I was a one time vegan and no, its not a total faff. A slice of nut roast with salad makes a fab lunch for example. just make a large nut roast and freeze in slices. Look out for Rose Elliots bean cookbook - usually very cheap on amazon etc as is so old now. My copy is falling apart. 100s of great lentil and bean dishes.
Tofu makes a great custard for quiches rather than eggs.
I was going to insert a fab poem called Vegan Delight by Benjamin Zephaniah but didn't want to over hi-jack the diary:) You might want to google it.
But - I'm not a vegan these days, or even a veggie actually although my lentil soup for lunch and ww bread was yummyMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
