Water butt done. I shall now rejoice whenever it rains. Which is every day here.
The hose on my water butt has been permanently attached to the drain for months :(. Possibly may undo it today and let butt fill ready for spring :T.

Gallygirl ponyplops would drink that for you. She is getting through 20 litres a day!

Hurdler I am going to clean it then spray with anti mouldspray which i think Gally recommended. Already have dehumidifier going. I am fully expecting to have to re paint it later since i think tbe spray will take the paint off.

Agree I think I need a repaint job too (sigh - realised on my way down to Old Mother hurdler' house that the car is in for body work when it goes for it's MOT in March) - could I trouble you or Gallygirl to PM me the name of the spray.

The dehumidifier doesn't seem to be garnering much water when I run it - which I guess is good?

I think how much water you collect depends on the humidity setting as well as the actual humidity. Sounds like good news though.

I am very divided on the topic of damp.

I can't decide who or what to believe.

Hahah the woman in the local hardware store will be happy then. I popped in there the other day to buy a small bottle of Zoflora disinfectant for a niffy bin and she was HELL BENT on selling me this brand of bin deodoriser at about a gazillion pounds more than the £1.40 I paid for the concentrated diddy bottle!

I might have to check of they have it in Mr T up the road from my mum's this weekend instead! I know what you mean about damp - I mentioned it to my neighbour in passing and you would think that I had developed the bubonic plague in my living room, but builder was all "yeah that's fine no bother"

Well being a kinaesthetic learner I cleaned the mould off before reading the instructions. It says DONT clean the mould off. First application on. Window open. Would not use this stuff if i was asthmatic.
Fence is also fixed. Hazel hurdles look lovely but they make a hell of a mess when they collapse.
