Glad you're on the right path suseka, I'm kind of in limbo as waiting on a dmp to be set up! However, much less worried than before & hopefully it will be sorted soon.0

We have set up a new "safe" joint bank account but this will not be formally open till next week, so to late to have wages paid there this month.
I think it may be a good idea to withdraw all available cash (upto my overdraft limit) out of this account on payday before HSBC stop or lower my OD. Any thoughts?
When we started our DMP I had cancelled all the direct debits from the account and informed our employers to change our pay into the new bank account. However the useless admin at OH's work who couldn't organise a p up in a brewery forgot. So all his wages (and he earns twice as much as me) went into the old account. I was convinced by this time that the bank would have guessed what I was up to and would keep all OH's wages to offset the overdraft. So I shot to the bank and they let me withdraw all of it! Huge sigh of relief, so yes go get that money! The only wobble so far is that having accepted the offer, Halifax sent a follow up letter cancelling agreement and demanding full payment of all arrears.
Halifax were and still are by far our worst creditor for keeping interest going.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Halifax Collections wrote to me in middle of June to say they had accepted the payment offer from SC for an initial period of 6 months. SC made the monthly figure offer-£148, I assume, based on the O/S balance. Prior to getting into difficulty I was on a 0% bal tfr offer and as a min payment £90 was missed before the first payment from SC, the agreement was broken as they started to add charges, late fees and interest at 18.95%.
Somehow, by Halifax receiving the first payment from SC they have taken the acc out of Collection and back to mainstream card services and they now say that the minimum payment will be the monthly accrued interest plus £5. That means that the Sc payment is more than the minimum payment and so the account is not in collections and they will just treat it as a normal account at std interest. Because of the credit limit, the monthly interest will never get to within £5 of the Sc payment so I am stuck in a Catch 22 and am repaying a £8800 debt at about £10/15 per month instead of £148. Spent nearly 90 mins on phone to halifax today and finally got to speak to someone who sais they understand and would pass it through as a complaint. It doesn't really go along with the policy on their letters of 'treating customers in financial difficulty in a sympathetic and positive manner' They suggested I go back to SC and ask them to reduce the payment so that I'm below the minimum monthly figure but cant see SC doing that. Really confused, annoyed and worried that I'm racking up massive interest charges and its undoing what I'm trying to do to clear this debt:(
No joy with Halifax despite a member of staff trying to help me and accepting that they are not actually improving the situation. So hi-ho its off to the FOS I go!! On a minor plus side, the very nice lady who tried to help had listened to the fact that I had spent over 90 mins on the initial call and so has agreed to recompense me to the tune of £35. She has even agreed to send a cheque rather than deduct it from the credit card balance as she says its not really any benefit to me that way. Pity her colleagues don't have the same common sense approach to mattersLBM - May 2013

Hi
They will tell you what they need. From memory I had to send a payslip and latest copies of statements. I didn't have all of them as some where online, I took screen shot and sent that. As long as they have the account numbers that's the main thing.
Are you all set to go?

They asked me for proof of income (so payslips) and photocopies of statements for each of my debts, which included my bank statements as we had an overdraft which we put into the DMP.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

When I started mine with Payplan (in Aug 2005) they didnt ask for anything.
Not sure if this is still the case now though.0
