Morning All
The garden party is in full swing - just me so far!! DS2 is here but suffering from a cold. He got up about half 7 and said he was going back to bed - not seen him since. Others should be arriving about 12.
Have a good bonfire going and the skip is filling up nicely. This is my kind of gardening!!
Hugs to those in need, will try to pop back later. Take care. XX0 -
Morning all, been at work for the last couple of days - when I get home in the evening on working days I usually feel too punch drunk to post much. I dread to think what sort of state I'd be in if I worked full time.
Anyway, we've been out to run our errands, it's not a bad morning, cold but quite bright at the moment.
Will then do some ironing, and eBaying this afternoon, looks like it'll be quite a good sales week.
Pizza for lunch and poached eggs on toast for tea.
Enjoy your dayEarly retired - 18th December 2014

DGS Danny just popped in to say Hello as he is back from his travels to Glasgow and Newcastle. He stayed in the Thistle Hotel which he said was nice and went for a meal at Guys which he said was really delicious, good job his firm were paying though
:)One of the perks of his job is they always get him a good room and give him plenty of living expences for when he is away..He actually said given the choice if he wasn't working in London he would like to live in Glasgow ,he found the people really friendly and just loved the 'buzz' of the place .
My late mum was a 'Weegie' so I think she would be pleased that her gt Grandson liked the city of her birth so much.
I am just about to get my glad rags on as my DGD Katie is picking me up with her fiancee and taking me out tonight for a meal so I am gallivanting about this week
:)
Getting quite chilly so I am going to make sure I'm well wrapped up ,I think we are forecast snow at some point tomorrow .Hope its nothing like the U.S.A. as they really are having some nasty storms.
Have a good evening everyone what ever you are doing
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -
Evening everyone!
Hope everyone's had a good Saturday, I've had a very productive day - 2 loads of washing done, kitchen cleaned, front room tidied, bathroom done... All that's left for tomorrow is to put the clothes away and put the hoover round
Had a touch of excitement when the washing machine refused to drain... But luckily my dad had popped over to deliver my new-to-me freezer out fo the garage and arrived just in time to help fix it
The drainage pipe got blocked, so had to be opened up - I now have another load of washing to do to clean off all the towels that were used to dry up the water that escaped, but well worth it to have the washing machine going again.
The new freezer is plugged in and cooling off, will be prepping things to go into it tomorrow - got a pile of veggies to slice up, and some meat to portion too.
Cooking Sweet & Sour Chicken from the Hairy Dieters book tonight - I've been wanting to try it out for a while now, and seeing as I have time, and a freezer to put the leftovers into.... Yum!
Enjoy the rest of your weekends,

Evening all,
Late post from me today, not had a minute to sit down and post. So far I've cleaned the house and done two lots of washing. At lunch time we visited my dh's aunt who is in a nursing home and quite poorly. She is always in good spirits though.
Afterwards we had a wander round and bought some new pillows for the bed. Our other ones were so flat and I've had achy shoulders the last few mornings.
Managed to get 4 bounce back Slumberlux ones for £12 so that's not bad. Hopefully will sleep better tonight.
Finally sat down in my pjs I'm pooped.
Has anyone heard from Flutterbyuk haven't seen her posting for a few days.
Anyway hope you all had a good Saturday. Have a good evening J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
