OS Daily, Saturday 09 February

O/S Daily Saturday 09 February 2013 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

  • Good morning everyone,
We have had snow overnight. Not loads but enough for me not to go shopping today as i really don't like driving in it. Plus i really don't feel like going anyway, my head cold that i have had for days has now turned into a full blown cold. Another one of my migraines came on Thursday and am still feeling sore today.
halight, you really are having a tough time at the moment. I hope you hear from the hospital soon x
Dd had her steroid injections in her eyebrow yesterday. They did five injections this time. It is very swollen and very tender. We have to go back in eight weeks to see if she needs top up injections. Her other eyebrow is still growing with no signs of it falling out. Fingers crossed.
Wm is on again for the second time today. Hopefully i will get it all on the airer.
Tea tonight is minted lamb (my Mum gave it to me) with chips and salad.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

  • Good morning everyone :)

It's raining here too and it looks like it is on for the day.

Am hoping to make my first venture outside today. I want to go and visit a tabletop sale then to see DD and DGD. Then the paln is for DH to take DD to IKEA and DGD and I to have a cuddle in front of a DVD until they get back.

I need to get some shopping on the way home, we have no fresh bread and no fruit so a trip to Aldi is in order. Not sure what we are having for dinner but a raid deep in the freezer will bring something to the surface!

Welcome to craigywv. This is a lovely thread so please stay unlurked and join in.

Sorry to hear about hospital problems halight and forever saving, I hope your DD's feeling ok today.

Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super day :)

Grey & damp here today, but no snow so far.
Fish fed, DW in on, WM needs unloading, washing will go on the rads & maiden.
I sold one of my crochet blankets yesterday & was paid cash, and spent it on milk & bread. That's 3 blankets I've sold in one week & I've made 3 new ones that I need to photograph & post on my blog.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Good Morning x
Halight - I totally understand how frustrating the hospital situation is. Im waiting to go into the National Neurology Hospital and it seems never-ending.

Butterfly - hope you doing ok x

We have definite snow now. We have to go over to Northampton to fill i some forms for my parents so really hope it does not come on too heavily. I still remember the time I was stuck on the A43 as the only on-call midwife for the area for 8 hours in 2005. Goodness that was scary and now always carry my snow kit. Stay safe.

My back is still very sore but Im mobile now so being very careful. Difficult with my wobbly gait.

Anyhow - minimal OS but nice to read all your doings x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Good Morning chums and <<hugs>> to those who are feeling poorly or are just in need of one.
No raining just yet here in the medway but I don't think it will be long and its cold and dark as well a real winters day outside.I have no shopping to buy and a nice pile of libray books to have a look at so not much will be done today.DGD Katie and her fiancee are picking me up at 6.30 to take me out for a meal so I don't even have to think about dinner tonight.I'll probably have some chicken soup for lunch and save myself for tonight :):) Just done all my accounts for this month and all the bills are paid andeverything is in order.I am going to have a lesuirely shower and wash my hair and watch part two of Dancing on the Edge on catch-up t.v.while doing some knitting a nice gentle relaxing day ahead.
have a good one chums and keep wrapped up warm if your going out
    Cheers JackieO xxx
