I would love to go out but we cant as I have to save every penny for holiday to Vegas in April. I am looking forward to it but hate having to stay in.
The house is a tip but I just cant seem to get motivated to clean it. I spend far to much time on the lappy.0 -
This weekend I shall mostly be cleaning and watching Six Nations. Me and the OH are also out on Saturday night with some friends. Aside from the going out on Saturday night, the rest is a typical weekend for me!0

Sunday is church in the morning, and then I'm going to have to pop into town as youngest has broken her glasses and needs them ASAP for school. At some point I've also got to do the washing, ironing and mark a set of school books, plus do some planning for school.

Do you feel as though you are "missing out" ?
If not, then there is no problem. If so, then you need to look at what you think you are missing out on.
Posting this type of question can go one of two ways - either you get comfort from others who equally don't do much, or you can feel inadequate after reading tales of how people will be meeting friends and family and be having endless fun from endless exciting activities.
At the end of the day, everybody is different and as long as you are happy within yourself then it does not matter what other people are doing.
Ps - sorry to be so serious if this was just a light hearted post !
I'm quite happy to spend some weekends not doing much, but sometimes when I hear friends and acquaintances talking about their action packed weekends, every weekend, I do wonder if I should be rushing around doing activities too.
But then I think, no, I'm quite happy at home - I don't want to be rushing around all over the place with a heavy schedule of enjoyment.
We do go out sometimes - in a few weeks we are going to a vintage fair at Bluewater, and a couple of weeks after that we are going to the theatre. Also, we sometimes go out in the week. We are going to London this Tuesday, and as both of us have Wednesdays off, we might go to the cinema midweek.
We go out enough to please ourselves.
But this weekend, it'll mainly be eBaying, reading watching TV and doing a jigsaw.
And I'm very happy with thatEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Interesting to see what a variety of things people get up to
This morning we went to a craft shop (I wanted to get cupcake boxes) and a fabric shop (to get fabric for a cotbed sized duvet cover for our nephew), and then onto Costco. So it was a moneyspending Saturday. Husband isn't feeling well though now so it's a relaxing evening.
Tomorrow I would like to go jogging but I think the weather forecast is poor. So I might make the duvet cover and make some cupcakes. Also going to make some soup. And need to tidy up, house is a bit of a bombsite after coming back from holiday late monday night and stright back to work Tuesday morning.0 -

Its a lazy weekend in the balletshoes household
. We went to Hobbycraft and KFC briefly today, tomorrow I need to nip into town for an hour or so, but apart from that, not doing very much at all. I find that I get stir-crazy if I spend the whole weekend in the house, but just an hour or so outdoors sorts that out.
