Doesn't matter if you choose not to use the phone line for calls, but you ARE using it For broadband, Therefore you have to pay line rental. I'm in Same Situation.
By the way everyone should maintain a landline - as a delivery driver Mobiles are not always reliable! Also if mobile is broken and need to phone 999....?0 -

Not to mention landlines are easier to trace for emergencies, tend to work for longer in powercuts (as long as you're using a basic phone that doesn't need a mains supply!), and do 0800 numbers free (IIRC some mobiles don't).0
