So just get him to pay for it every time then. You cook your own and he can order it in! More fool him!
Yes, my Mum's a meat and two veg person - EVERY night (but not in THAT way!):rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My OH would have a take away every night too, but I think that's because my cooking gives him indigestion, charcoal doesn't agree with him so he says:rotfl:0

My local takeaway is fantastic.
It's a Turkish place, they grill skewers of (really good quality) meat over an open charcoal pit. Add salad, garlic sauce and wrap.
It's healthy and I could never achieve the taste myself (and god it's tasty)
and it costs £5.25 for my favourite lamb shish, which is a full dinners worth with nothing else needed,
and the worst bit is I can smell it on my way home from work.
Temptation is a terrrible thing.0 -
this was a big major problem for us as well only we didnt have the get it delivered problem it was a takeawy five /six times a week problem (no joke) and i'm not even much of a fan of them.... but i found a place that taught chinese cookery (my hubbys main weakness)so i signed hubby and myself up for it(i chronicled it in my diary (not that i'm trying to get you to readi it))i moaned all the way through but now that we are out the other side it has saved us a fortune and tastes much nicer and is far more healthy than the takeaway ...the only problem now is hubby cookes chinese every night(sometimes i just want a nice meat and two veg dinner is that too much to ask) but hey were saving a fortune now... i'm booking us on the indian course next though ...gott have some sort of a change...
I think this is a great idea. I should point out that I was a chef in a past life, so I can cook very well/ am very inventive when it comes to using up scraps. The problem is, my OH doesn't want to cook; or at least, he will as long as I do all the cooking, which I refuse to do. I am not his slave, after all :rolleyes:BCSC Member 70:j

Wish the ones near me were anything near that healthy!!!
Agree that if OP's OH has no debts, and wants it, he should pay for it!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

If he doesn't want to cook on a certain night, he can pay for the takeaway for both of you, if you don't want to cook, you pay.0 -
I lived off takeaways for a while - mostly pizza's (meat feast, too), sometime's I'd have indian or kebabs. It was getting to be a real problem for me - partly it was down to idleness (finishing work and picking up the phone knowing I'd arrive home about 5 minutes before my tea!). It was about 5 or 6 nights a week - my recent debt problems have put a stop to that though - and also my increasing waist size.
I'm living off the contents of my cupboard at the moment as I am absolutely skint - I couldn't even give you 10p. Last night I had cheese pasta and hot dogs! For pudding I had a tin of pineapple chunks. Tonight I'm having pasta again but no hot dogs as I only had the one tin. I do have some pop tarts for pudding though!0 -
We buy pizza and Indian meals from tesco as our treats. A meal for is £5.50 and 2 pizzas are £4.Barclaycard 3800
