Wow, you try to help. Some people want everything for nothing.

Good luck wasting your time with phone calls and emails.

I think, perhaps, the point is that -as opposed to people wanting something for nothing - quite a lot of the information you mentioned is available for free already. So it might not be a great idea to cough up £20 to benefitsandwork before checking it all out

To be honest, I am a live and let live sort of person and I realise that different forums work for different people. But you are now the 3rd or 4th person who has come on here pushing benefitsandwork - it's beginning to feel a bit fishy!
  • Hi.
Did you manage to get hold of any1 at Basildon JCP?.
I've received a letter asking me to call 01268912529.
After a stack of attemps from my mobile, Landline and my carers mobile, Constantly getting the response of 'This persons phone is currently unavailable'. I called the main 0345 number.
After almost a 10 minute wait, The people at the main 0345 number told me that the telephone number 01268912529 which is written on my letter 4 times! Is not correct and gave me the number that they have of 01268633921.
After trying this new number 5 times and it saying that it is attempting to dial and then cuts out (incorrect number) on around 6 times & again from 3 different phones, I decided that I had no choice than to call the 0345 number for a 2nd time!, This time I got lucky and only had 7 minutes of that dreadful music, To be told- They only have the number of 01268633921 and all they can suggest is that i keep trying!.
I asked what I should do if it became closer to my appointment date and I still hadn't managed to contact anyone and got told 'Go to the appointment then' In the most sarcastic and degrading manner.
I pointed out that the reason for my call was to advise that I could not attend the appointment because I am both disabled and housebound and was then told 'You'll have to keep trying the numbers you have then!'.
Absolutley dreadful cuustomer service!, Hopeing you may have an email address or a contact number that actually works please?. TIA
