    Cheapish ink here:

Great spec but reviews focus on speed (or lack) of. How is it in real life?

well im not a big printer but for 70 quid i think its great especially the wireless took 5 mins to set up so i dont need it anyway near my computer dont think you could get a printer with all these specs for 70 quid elswhere so waiting a couple of seconds more for ur print is probably worth it wouldnt you agree also you can take benefit of the brother thread where you can pick either a label maker,256 usb mstick or a 2 year warranty i just applied for the extra 2 year waranty which pc world wanted 20 quid for but that was instant replacement though not sure if the warranty on the brother site is instant replacement

Well, it seems like a bargain to me.

Finding a cheap wireless printer would be pretty good - but as most Multi-function machines I'm seeming seem to Print-Scan-Copy but not Fax - this being a fax too is pretty good!

Not disagreeing about the price, which is great for the features.

Can you point me to this Brother thread you mentioned?

I went looking for that thread too. :)

The important bit though is this link: http://www.brother.co.uk/g3.cfm/s_page/77630

Which is basically where you put the promo code you get when you buy the printer, to apply for your free gift.

Anyone spot replacement cartridges cheaper than the ones I posted above?

Hmmm, well I've never used them, but there is here:

    http://www.mouse2house.co.uk/index.php?show=moreinfo&prodid=AB-CLC900

Buy 3 get 1 free, meaning £25.98 for 3 sets. They are Ink, so on this site that means free delivery. Making it £2.17 a cartridge I think. That's pretty cheap. :D

EDIT: When adding to basket, the 1 free doesn't seem to be working - so call to the company may well be required... Of course, they are only £3 each even without the free set.

They are the correct cartridges (LC900) but are £12.99 for one set of 4 cartridges (3 x colour + 1 black). Even with a free set I make that £39 quid for 4 sets.

The site I posted sells one set for £8.50 going down to £6.74 each set if you order 3 or more.

    Any advance on that?
