Best Fibre option

I'm looking for some opinions for switching to Fibre Broadband and would appreciate some input. I'm currently on ADSL and pay over £30 a month for "up to 20mbps" but realistically only get 5mbps and now with the prices of Fibre being much lower than my current ADSL service I've been looking around. PlusNet are offering up to 76 mbps unlimited for £19.99 a month and then there's Virgin that offer up to 30 mbps for £22.50 a month. PlusNet seem to be a better option in terms of value for money, but after reading a few reviews I'm not too sure for example: http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews92709.html#Reviews and plusnet
Even though the PlusNet deal is cheaper and faster than Virgin, I need a stable and reliable service since I work from home on a regular basis and I'd be happy with anything higher than I'm currently getting with ADSL.
Would you recommend PlusNet or Virgin Fibre?
Have you had any issues with your connection and has your provider been helpful in resolving the issues?
How easy was it to install Fibre, and if you switched providers, was the switch efficient and hassle free?
TIA

No worries. With so may choices out there I just want to make sure I end up with a decent connection with good support. I've since been chatting to Virgin Media about their products and terms and conditions. Will see if I can speak to someone from PlusNet0 -
I wouldn't worry about Plusnet - they are very good.
Those reviews - most of the bad ones are actually people moaning because they haven't read the small print.
Some are moaning about switching to unlimited but getting charged and not being told of the switch will happen on the next billing date. I just done this and done this many times over the last two years (been switching from different fibre products and testing products too) and it had always for the last two years stated the change is next billing date and it confirms that in emails. So dismiss these reviews - they are customer mistakes.
Others to do with engineers, this is openreach fault not plusnet. Blame BT. Just hope you don't have problems with them.
I have the unlimited top fibre package, the line is great I get 66.5mb download and 14mb upload. No problems and works well with VPN and gaming.0 -
Hi we have just been offered bt fibre upto 76 unlimited for £20 pm on a 20month contract0

I been with them since early Jan for phone/fibre and have had no issues since I got connected. Speeds even at peak time have been around 60mbps for 70mbps product
I cant vouch for Virgin but I have always used decent companies like Aquiss/Zen/Nildrem this is first time I used mainstream isp0 -
I've been with PlusNet now for nearly 5 years - never had any problems! When we moved house, the new line took a few days to sort itself out, and perhaps once a week or so the connection drops (but immediately returns) - other than that, can heartily recommend.0
