Reason for claiming PPI?

I am really at a loss now about what to do because these seemed to be valid reasons and were also outlined in Martin Money Savers Step 2-The PPI Mis-selling Check list.
Martins list is a simple list. It lists things that may be mis-sales. Some of the reasons are mis-sales but near impossible to prove and rarely succeed by themselves. So, you can be mis-sold to and be rejected. Just as many people who were not mis-sold have got lucky with payouts.
Sales people are allowed to "disturb" and exert a reasonable pressure without crossing the line. Some people may consider an approach pushy whilst the same approach on others may not consider it pushy. I once had a women nearly in tears when talking about life assurance and what happens next. No pressure was put on her at all but she got upset about what would happen if her husband died. That is not pushy. That is doing your job correctly. Pushy is not taking no for an answer and brow beating you into taking it out.
The biggest problem for you is that your allegations are unprovable. If you felt it was pushy beyond reasonable then why not complain at the time? All these years on and it begins to lack credibility and there almost certainly is no evidence to suggest what you are saying happened.I really don't what I can do? I thought I had a case but it seems I do not.
You can still complain. However, you just have to be aware that your complaint is very weak. There is no "factual" element to your complaint. Its not one about eligibility, financial need, employer benefits overlap, single premium instead of monthly, refinancing etc. They are much stronger reasons.
Many people get lucky on complaints like yours. If you dont then at least you will know why.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Of course sales people are pushy. Thats their job. They would never get any sales otherwise. They offered you the credit card and you accepted. Since then you have used the credit card, so it must have been of some benefit to you. Cross selling is allowed.
At the end of the day, no matter how pushy they are, you are allowed to say no and make up your own mind. Personally, if someone trys to sell me something and gets too pushy, it gives me more motivation to say 'bog off'.
The cooling off period is in the T&C's in the paperwork you had, so even if they didn't explain that outloud (which they should of and its almost impossible to prove) its still in the leaflets/documents.
Unfortunately this is a weak complaint and very hard to prove you were not given the correct information, when you had the paperwork.
Can you think of any other reasons that might help you with your claim?
Offered??....or implied that they had to take it as part of the whole package??, when I first got a current account with my bank I too was kinda told that I had to take their credit card with it as part of the whole package, when I told the sales person I didn't want it they said....errrrrr......just take it anyway and cut it up, why give it to me at all if I've just told them I don't want it unless they were briefed to force it on people??, just like they were briefed to push PPI anyhow they can, the only difference is you can't hide a credit card quite as easily as you can hide the sneaky PPI on it and hope nobody query's their statements, thin line between pushy selling and MIS-selling eh??.

However it was sold, the customer still accepted it. They also used it! As we know nothing about the conversation that took place, neither of us can really comment, but I still stand with my views that people need to take some responsibility for themselves and grow a back bone. If you really don't want something say NO!
How are you ever going to get on in life if you let people push you around? You cannot say the bank forced you into anything unless they locked the room and threatened you into signing the paperwork.
