OS Daily thread Wednesday 6th February

O/S Daily Monday 4th Feb 2013 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all,
I'm awake bright and (too) early this morning due to a bad dream that woke me up in a panic. I was tossing and turning for a while before finally deciding to get up.
Hubby is out most of today so i might end up getting some housework done. Theres nothing more off putting than cleaning the kitchen floor and then someone walks all over it whilst it is still wet.
Bad news, i submitted my meter readings online and we need to throw another £100 Eons way. I might discuss with hubby about increasing the direct debit as it doesnt seem many weeks ago since we paid an extra £100 to keep us in credit. Only thing is, i dont like being in credit by too much in the summer....better in hubbys bank account than theirs i say. I'll leave the decision as whether to increase the DD up to hubby.
Jobs for today (hopefully):
[STRIKE]Vacuum upstairs[/STRIKE]
Clean laminate floor (it looks a bit grubby)
[STRIKE]Dust upstairs[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Stairs[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Kitchen Floor[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Vacuum downstairs[/STRIKE]
Dust downstairs
Tea will depend on if hubby can eat. He's got a dental appointment this morning as he's got toothache. Still, at least he doesnt have to have time off work.
Dogs have been out, its blowing a gale out there but no snow unlike the early hours of yesterday morning when it was white all over.
Hope you all have a good day and keep warm! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Morning everyone
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Now getting light, drying underfoot as it rained heavily during the evening and into the night, still very blustery too.
DH up and drinking a cuppa, he has a day off today.
Dinner last night was fish, chips/jacket, beans/veg, not sure about tonight yet.
Yesterday was another busy day yesterday, the day flew by, we were busy right up to finishing and had to lock the doors to stop more people coming in! Working at the other office today as have a training session this morning - only working until lunchtime so won't be too bad. Then have all the normal chores to do - still need to get going with flylady, may well print it off later/tomorrow and try to get stuck in over the next couple of days, can't seem to get my head in the right place - hoping after today and the next couple of days I'll be able to get stuck in and hoping this will then make me feel better and that I'm achieving something.
Keep safe and well x

:)No idea what kept waking me up as I read quite a bit before swithching off the light, just didn't get into a deep enough sleep I suppose
Looks wet'n'windy outside so I'm glad I'm not going out today..A roor around in my freezer will find me something for dinner tonight and I have lots of soup for a soup and crackers lunch,so all in all a quiet day ahead for me.

Morning all,
Woke up with a blocked nose, have felt a cold coming on for a couple of days. Still must get on today.
Need to walk to the post office and then onto the bank. Need to pick up some golden syrup as I've had a request for twinks biscuits this week. Plus the walk will do me good, might clear my head.
It's cold here as well but most of the snow has gone due to the rain over night.
Ds2 has an interview this morning. Keep your fingers crossed for him.
Weigh in tonight so will leave tea for the boys. Turkey and bacon meatballs with pasta.
Nmlc do you work in a bank, I'm always trying to guess:D
Tina glad your 'friend' has gone with friends like that who needs enemies!'
Have a good day all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning All
Bitterly cold wind here this morning as I felt when I went out to put food on the bird table and some on the ground for the robins and blackbirds, I just have to keep a weather eye out for blooming pigeons and starlings who mug the smaller birds. DH has made some bird boxes and hung them at the side of the shed away from the wind and stuck some hay in there as well.
I have a Doctors appointment this morning so I had better go and get in the shower.
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
