  • Just an experience with switch to EDF from BG. Switch went OK BUT Direct debit was not transferred and although EDF say they sent form, I have no trace so assumed DD would be set up. Unfortunately I was hospitalised during the switch period and did not monitor my bank account! £420 later!!!!!! All sorted and EDF helpful in setting up DD plus allowing spread of back payment over 12 months but one to watch

Is anyone else having difficulty with the Energy Club tool? It's letting me log in, but my historic tariff is missing (although it does show the supplier) and it won't let me edit the information, the page is not responsive. I've tried different browsers, but it doesn't make any difference.

I'm not getting that message. It allows me to log on, but once logged on it won't let me edit anything and the tariff info is missing (which was definitely their previously). I've tried again this morning and it's still the same. I know it's not the browser as I've tested registering (without completing the process) and the page is responsive throughout all of that.

It looks like MSE is pushing the EDF Sep tariff, which would suggest if they have a collective offer it won't be better than the EDF one I would guess

At a 25% premium on what I am currently paying I think I will give it a miss plus for me their Oct 19 fix is £3 cheaper than the exclusive Sep 19 fix and with a lower exit fee.

OK - So I decided to take up the CEC offer & switch from Scottish Power to E.On earlier this year. SP had installed a SMETS2 meter to both gas & elect meters on May 9th 2019, and gave me a snazzy IHD for my amusement, so I thought switching would be a breeze with my supposedly supplier-independent setup!
According to E.On the "switch" completed on the 27th June 2019! My IHD no longer works properly; I've received only estimated bills for only one fuel, nothing for gas yet; I've not received the promised MSE cashback and despite raising a MSE Resolver issue with E.On and escalating it to director level the problem (s) are still not resolved 16/10/2019!!!!. Would I contemplate switching again (except to leave E.On maybe)? - NO WAY JOSE!

Hello Dewpoint and I'm sorry your switch hasn't gone smoothly.

You were right to go down the complaints path. What has the Complaint Manager said about the causes behind these issues? It sounds like the switch hasn't fully completed. Not the supply itself, more the background details. Guessing here.

Thank you for joining us Dewpoint and sorry again this hasn't gone smoothly.
