  • Hi ,

I'm new to here and found your diary yesterday so thought i'd say hi and well done. I had my light bulb moment about a week ago and decided that what my OH had been telling me 4 years is true, i have a shopping addiction :)
At the moment we're trying to save a deposit 4 a mortgage so i'm just running through everything and looking where to cut back. x

Hi realitycheck. Thanks for popping by and welcome to MSE and the debt free wannabe board.
You'll get loads of great advice on MSE. I've discovered that if you put your mind to it nothing is impossible.
Since I started my diary I have had loads of support and there are different challenges-like the mortgage free in three, grocery challenge, savings etc etc.
Good luck in your quest I'm sure you will achieve your objectives :D

Just cashed in an investment today-hoping to have 1k to add to savings when it comes through next week.
Savings will be added to more slowly after that.
Better get more stuff sorted for the bay!

    Happy St David's day!
Been for the main grocery shop this morning.
Managed to save £5 in Ald! and had a voucher worth nearly £9 that I used in M & S. So although I saved nearly £14 I still managed to spend £82 between 5 shops. :(
Hoping to spend less next week. Must meal plan again-it's a lot more cost effective when I meal plan.
    Came home and had lunch.
Now trying to psyche myself up to do some listing and cleaning. I still have outstanding jobs to do. Outstanding as in they should have been done yesterday-not outstanding as in amazing! Fantastic! Really enjoyable jobs. :rotfl:

Forgot we got free parking today too, so that's another couple of quid. I must move £15 over to savings. :)
Made another draught excluder and vacuumed bathroom, stairs and landing.
Need to get some listings ups next and bake later.
Think I'm finally getting my mojo back-fingers crossed.
