I really want to get pregnant again especially after my mc 2 months ago. just got my AF for this month so I know it's not this month. just downloaded a fertility planner app that cost £1.99 because I was really fed up with the fertility friend one that I found really confusing :( hopefully this one will be better.

does anyone feel really overwhelmed with stuff like temping, mucus checking, whatever...I don't really want to start doing all that I just feel like I want to make sure me and OH bd every other day especially when the app says I'm most fertile. but is that enough? will that ever work? bleurgh.

Sorry to keep popping back on here but just be aware most apps only work on averages so they are useless unless you have regular cycles - in which case you don't really need an app anyway!

You need to check mucus and use opks if you want to predict ov with an irregular cycle.
  • Bah. AF is in da house. Damn her!

Another month, another FAIL from my useless body :(

(Btw - i use Fertility Friend .com for basic "when to do what i need to do" lol.... it was predicting AF either yesterday or today... when i hadnt inputted she had arrived today by this morning, i noticed that they have now changed their "prediction" to tomorrow or Tues..... LOLS!!)
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

thank you, I'm pretty new to all this! I don't know whether my cycle is regular or not as iv been taking the pill for the past 2 years, stopped taking it got pregnant straight away then had an early mc.

yeah that's what annoyed me with fertility friend! I found it really hard to use, it kept changing the day that my period was predicted to come, and I didn't know how to input when it actually did come ha. :-/

Typical, typed out a massive reply and my browser crashed and I lost it.

Anyway the gist of it was, that I'm currently in Croatia and its CD1.

Congrats to samtoby (loving the "I'm going to pee on all the tests)and any other BFPs I missed.

Oh, and Mrs T_M, I noticed fewer cramps with the mooncup too.

Code hugs for cd1 but hope your enjoying your break.
  • Hello all - I know this makes me sound stupid, but can you help me out with an ovulation question?
When using an ovulation predictor, if you get a positive does this mean you have ovulated or you're about to? Also, do "tradition" ovulation symptoms (increased mucus etc) appear before ovulation or once it has occurred?

    TIA

You should get increased watery or eggwhite CM before ovulation and same with ovulation tests, they tell you before you ovulate so you have a better chance of getting pregnant if you have sex once you get a positive.

I use the CBFM as well as cheapie opks as a back up/confirmation, got a second hand one off ebay, got pregnant second month of using it but now waiting for it to help me get my sticky bean!
Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month
  • Thanks! Just one more... is there any general rule on how long you're fertile for after a positive/signs of ovulation? In my head it's 2-3 days, but I'm not sure where I got that from.

Just lurking to say thank you for all the nice messages. I know it is excessive to pee on more than one stick but OH went out and bought more I just didn't believe it - hit me when the digital one said 2-3 weeks! I *may* pee on another next Sunday night the night before he Dr's just to make sure I am not being stupid heading to the Dr's. (Who am I kidding of course I will do it!)

I don't know if it is relevant but prior to my BFP I cut out all caffeine, drank water like it was out of fashion and I was using a Clearblue ovulation test stick that is the one that shows you one flashy smiley when you are heading towards ovulation and a solid smiley at peak. I think that happened over three days.

Hope to see some more BFP's too.
