Yay Ashia hope you get your bfp soon.

Tink ouch, hope your not to bruised, do you have to go back for bloods ?
  • Ow, sorry to hear that Tink, did they try both arms? How weird that they couldn't get any out.. :(

Loving all the jars TM, I am making piccalilli tonight (its already in brine) as I have waaaay to many courgettes.

Sorry for CD1 Lolly, my LP is not short but I have read a bit about it, and if it is to short then at least drugs can fix that (at least my clomid moved my OV forwards a bit).

Tink, hugs for a difficult day and i LOVE your stuff online - hope you sell lots. Are they going to try and take blood again?

    Sorry for CD1 Lolly.

Mrs TM, I've also got a glut of apples and have stewed some down to freeze, but hadn't thought of canning them - what do you do with yours?

I'm really hopeful this cycle as we BDed at exactly times. AAAARGh, I really hate waiting! x

Most of mine get peeled and cored, then thrown into the slow cooker to go on low overnight for apple sauce. If it's for eating straight, I'll sweeten it after it's cooked if needed, if it's for cooking, I don't add any sugar. The apple sauce usually just gets eaten out of the jar with some cinnamon, or used in apple sauce banana bread (no oil or eggs!).

This time I had enough apples to slice and can and dice and can some of them. Just peel, core, slice/dice, stick into a jar, add sugar if wanted (I do 1 tsp in the smaller jars and 2-3 tsp in the larger jars), fill with boiling water, shake them gently to get out as many bubbles as possible, then process.

The sliced apples will be for apple pies, hand pies, turnovers, and tarts. The diced apples can be used in any of those plus stewed apples! I might make some stewed apples tonight for dessert, depends on how my hand feels.

I'm still trying to find more things to make with apples, because I know I'm going to run out of jars soon!

Also - I re-use jars and lids. This isn't the 'approved' method of canning, but it works for us. Do your research before canning! If I had mason, ball, or kilner jars I would not reuse the lids, just the rings.

The second line is always a bit "blotchy" its darker than the control line in places but not in all of it!
