Ladies help needed!!
Mrs TM might be a question for you...
How to get hair dye off a white toilet seat!
OH will not be impressed when he gets home. Have tried nail varnish and stain remover and it hasn't worked.
Any ideas?
P.S Even worse, my hair still isn't the colour I wanted!!
No clue, sorry! Have you tried white vinegar or a paste of bicarbonate of soda (made with a bit of water)? Those are my two go to cleaning things.Disney_Pluto wrote: »Hi, how is everyone?
I'm now 5DPO just waiting game now.
Regarding toilet seat do men notice little things like that?
Mine would!
Sorry for not posting earlier. I'm extremely depressed right now. At least I've pitted the 2 1/2 pounds of cherries and cored and peeled the 18 apples I had. Cherry pie and apple pie soon hopefully. I've also stuck a marked down lamb joint into the slow cooker for dinner so at least we have that if nothing else.
Mooncup = awesome. Nearly costing DH his job yesterday = horrid and depressing. I told DH that if his boss asked, to just tell him that he will never see me again and that hopefully that would make him happy. The worst bit is that I was doing so well controlling the depression, and now I'm terrified to even step out of the door here at home for fear of causing more problems.
DH told me to try not to think too much, but I honestly cannot help it. I'm constantly on the verge of tears and I feel like nothing but a failure. I feel like all I've done to DH since I moved countries is cost him money and cause him problems. I don't know what to do any more, so I'm afraid to do anything lest I make things worse.
I'll stop bringing the thread down now. Thanks for being here for me to let some stuff out.0 -
Big hugs MrsTM, sounds like you really need one at the moment xx.
BTW - that lamb sounds delicious.... what time do you want us all round for dinner??0 -

Thanks. I need all of the hugs I can get. You lot are really the only friends I have other than DH and one friend that lives here in Norwich.
It's technically done now, but it will be falling apart come 5 or 6 tonight! I'll need to measure out our portions for tonight and hide the rest from DH (or go ahead and put it in jars!) otherwise we won't have any left. It was a 1.624 kg roast for approx £3.99/kg.
I picked up some coconut oil while I was out yesterday to try and make 'magic shell' ice cream topping. It's this awesome chocolate sauce that solidifies when it touches the ice cream and it makes a hard-ish chocolate shell over it. No clue how it will go though.0 -
Wow Mrs_T_M you are indeed a domestic goddess!0

I'm not really, I promise. Right now I'm struggling to keep my mind off things, so, I cook and clean more. I figure that's a better coping strategy than harming myself (which I'm too much of a coward to do anyway, so no worry there).
Also, the ice cream topping stuff is wonderful and works! Recipe: 1 tablespoon coconut oil for every 4 ounces of chocolate. Melt coconut oil in a double boiler (I used a glass jar) and then add the chocolate bit by bit until it's all melted. Remove from the heat, let cool a bit if needed and then pour into a squeezy bottle if you have one. That's it!0 -
Oh MrsTM *big squeeze* I know how crushing depression can feel at times. Seems like your doing your best at keeping busy, its silly when people tell you not to think, its like saying not to worry, it doesn't work like that! You could try putting something like radio 4 on when you cook, its helps me as it focuses my brain away from stuff0

Thanks pickle. I've been playing movies via the laptop for background noise. The Bourne Legacy so far today and I'm trying to think of more action movies that I have that I'm not tired of watching. I hate to admit this, but I would normally watch the Shrek movies, but now I can quote all of them...
I'm finally forcing lunch down. Crackers and garlic and herb cream cheese (lighter version). Might have some roasted peanuts soon too, not sure. :cool:0 -
I love the Shrek films, never get tired of watching those
If we're on TV confessions, I can still happily while away an afternoon watching Friends - I could probably recite the whole 10 series of it by now!0 -

I haven't started on Friends yet (I know, shock horror!), but I've watched and enjoyed all of Scrubs. I need to catch up on Mad Dogs, and Big Bang Theory, watch the rest of Red Dwarf, watch Arrested Development, and a few other more obscure things DH wants to watch with me.0
