Becca - the NHS seem to regularly make a mess of SA's. Is it possible for you to go private? I think maybe you can just go to a private clinic and see if they will do it without you having to register and do the initial consulatation (and associated fees).

It cost us £100 to get it done privately. DH was booked in the next day, and we had the results in a day or so.

That was after waiting 2-3 weeks for an NHS appointment, then 3 weeks for results... and the finding out they had left it for 2 hours and so the results were invalid. I couldn't face another 6 weeks or so waiting, and I knew DH wouldn't exactly push the issue!

Sorry Becca ((((((HUGS))))) I hope the SA can be repeated in time for the FS visit. Good idea from T2D about going private (if money's not an issue).

BZ - I hate those FB posts too. They are cringeworthy!

Lol at the pregnancy test Teaandcake, how random.

MSM, hehe! I haven't managed a +ve OPK thus far either. I am CD 23 with no EWCM either. Maybe an anovulatory month? No chance of PG as OH and I have BDed about 3 times the whole month due to OH arthritis. Pants!!!

Hi, i posted this yesterday, can anyone help? Got a tlp on ov test today, does this mean bd for a chance? But bfp is best day?
Does the tlp mean anything over nothing? Or they are both just as negative as each other? Its too much energy to bd every night for a month! 2weeks at a time I can handle! :-)

Tlp doesnt mean much apart from you could be leading up to ovulate: some ladies get tlps most of the time, others like myself get blanks and then tlps and then a stronger line and then a very strong line. So I can kind of tell its coming although sometimes it goes from tlp to a strong line like it did this month.

I only start doing the tests when I get signs like ewcm and spots though so I dont normally do more than a few tests.

We find it hard enough to do it 3 days in a row around ov, there is no way I could manage every day for a month so dont worry about that :rotfl:2 weeks is plenty! But it doesnt have to be every day like Birdie says.

You could do it every other day, then when you get a positive opk do it every day for 3-4 days, then you can stop if you want.

Or you could do what I do which is bd about twice, then bd lots around ov, as we honestly dont have the energy the rest of the time which sounds bad but is true!

I posted a picture of my positive opk a few pages back, and trina posted one too.

When i didnt get a reply last night i thought, cor this lot must all have early nights, i bet the sleep helps your chances. Then i laughed very loud realising your probably all doing the bd! :rotfl:

Half of us probably are sleeping :rotfl::rotfl:

Glad to have thoroughly read MSE weekly email .. Found this forum!

I am TTC for first baby from 07/12. Had an ectopic in 11/11. Haven been waiting eagerly for BFP. I have weight issues and longer/irregular cycles. The trouble is to identify cycle length each month. Alternative months seem to have a similar cycle length. Jan cycle was 34 days while that in Dec was 30. The one in Noc-12 was 46 !, never had that long cycle before but it could be bcos of stress.

Currently waiting for Ov , using IC OPKs for Ov detection. I tracked BBT and Ov for few months. I do get LH surge but still no luck! Starting to get stressed about it now and pressure from DH and family increasing too. Any sords of advice would be great.

    Gia.

    Thanks for all the responses.
Going to go to FS appt. So mad for OH.
Won't get SA done before appt but we will try and get it done ASAP, they are sending out another kit so god knows how long that will take.
Fed up does not even begin to explain how I feel right now.

I remember that smug Calpol advert from a few years back... 'If you have kids, you'll understand'. I vowed never, ever, ever to buy Calpol on the strength of that alone (if I were lucky enough to have a baby). Patronising, smug, bollox.
    I know the one.

Reminds me of that old cliche: you don't know love til you have a child. I was thinking the other day, you don't know love til you/your body constantly fails to give your husband what he desperately wants, you see the pain in his eyes every time you tell him of AF or a BFN, he cries with you about the child you miss that hasn't even been conceived yet, the plans you've made that have& may never come to fruition, and still loves & sticks by you regardless of all of it, and would still chose you.

    That's love.
