Becca your pup is gorgeous! Sooooooo cute! Hope you got on ok today, I'm sure it must have been hard x

Purcy and littlemssmup - really sorry to see you both back here. Take care and look after yourselves xxx

Loulou - how freaky about your patient! Fingers crossed they are psychic and have predicted it for you! That would be an amazing story x

So I booked and paid in full for a holiday to vegas in September yesterday. It's exactly 3 months until we fly and will be the 1 year anniversary of starting TTC when we're out there. I hope that booking this has tempted fate and my BFP will arrive. But if it doesn't, then at least we have something fun to look forward to.

    Hope everyone else is well.
  • Hello, all good ladies. Hope you have had great weekends! STrange to say but does anyone else get rather sad when they see the same old faces in here:) I'm sure you know what I mean!

Same old, same old for me, contacting the doctor tomorrow as that will be a 43 day cycle. Have done more pregnancy tests than is necessary and probably healthy but always with a BFN. Some of the issues with my thyroid and thyroxine seem to be levelling out, still hoping it will be baby issues and not endocrin issues that are causing the problems.

Loulou Fingers crossed for you as I remember you also having had a 43 day cycle when I joined and now I'm here as well!

Yep some of us have been posting on here for around 1-3 years. It gets depressing but at the same time I'd rather not be the only one who has been around that long!

Just catching up from over the weekend

Picklekin - glad you enjoyed Rome, its an amazing city.

Lilmissup - sorry to hear your news x look after yourself

Becca - well done for all the BDing! Hope this is your month. Love the pic of your puppy, going to be an exciting summer for you. Hope you survived the christening ok

Code - hope things are ok for your OH, never nice with redundancies and competing for jobs. Thought of you today when I saw on Facebook someone who I vaguely know must be pregnant and put up a photo of a card for fathers day from the bump - hope your facebook was clear of things like this

thriftylass - glad you had a conversation with your OH, hope you have more and are able to discuss things together about ttc

Hugs Littleme and Claire for AF arriving

Claire - hope you have recovered from your stressful shopping trip and that your mum will now be more sensitive

Loulou - I hope you get a definite answer this week

AFM - as last months cycle was obviously a blip we dtd at the wrong time. Have now dtc again on CD32 and 33, thinking there may be a chance if my cycle is in the 40's, although probably too late. Its still all guess work though sigh

Hubbie and I are also looking to book a holiday for September and it will one year since we starting ttc. I'm so jealous as I would LOVE to do a Vegas/San Francisco trip with maybe a stop at Yellowstone Park (the pics look amazing). However hubbie has recently developed a fear of flying and a short trip to Sweden last month showed that a long haul flight would be a nightmare! So I've decided to give him a break and book 10 days in France. I'm not giving up on foreign holidays, just giving him some time.

We're going to do four nights in Paris followed by six nights on the south coast. As we are travelling by train it would need to be somewhere on the main train line for sightseeing, does anyone have any recommendations for where? Nice seems good with lots of hotel choices, but after Paris I think we'd like somewhere less built up. However Villefranche seems a bit small as Tripadvisor has only 13 hotels listed in the town. Anyone know what Antibes, Toulon, and other towns on the Cote d'Azur are like?
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

Purcy and Lilmissmup - so sorry for you both.Take care and be kind to yourselves xxx

    Becca -
OH MY GOD THAT DOG IS SO GORGEOUS!! Bet you can't wait to get him home. Hope the christening went ok and people kept quiet. Fingers crossed that all your efforts paid off and a nice bfp is on the cards.

Picklepin - glad you had a nice time in Rome. It's somewhere I've always wanted to go, so very jealous.

Loulou123 - really hope the old man turns out to be right!

Hugs to Claire and Littleme for AF. Claire, be really interested to see how you get on with those Clearblue sticks. Might be tempted to buy some as well once the cheapies I've bought have run out.

catloverbex - very jealous about your trip to Vegas!Really hope that you've tempted fate by booking it. Seems to be a popular place to go as a few of my friends have been there recently and had an amazing time.

Slinky_Selina - good luck with the doctor's tomorrow. Hope they can sort it all out for you.

Kynthia - your holiday plans sound great! Paris is a lovely city with loads to see and do. I've never strayed further into France though, so can't help with where else to stay.

Thriftylass - Glad you had a good talk with your oh.

ttc39 - good luck with the doctor's and results tomorrow. Think it's cruel when they leave you hanging like that over the weekend!

AFM - not a lot going on really. AF is slowly leaving. We've decided that with my appointment and possible tests coming up that we won't be trying this month. Still going to be keeping track of everything though, so hope you don't mind if I lurk/stick around for the month. Typical that we're going away next weekend when I'm probably going to ov!

Im glad I've ordered those clear blue sticks as I'm hoping Ill get some advance warning of ov, as Im always looking for the next thing to help.

But I was reading some reviews of the proper monitor as I know people on here before said the reviews are really good with all these people saying they got pregnant first time etc, well its no wonder when reading ones like this:

"ill admit i refused to buy this at first, too much money. i thought it would be a waste but after 3 years of trying, i thought ill give it ago, and got it. to my suprise month 1 i caught. dont bother with ur standard ovulations kits, use this it gave me 10 days of high fertility and i found out i ovulated on day 18, where as all my research in the past had always said average women ovulate day 14. its been a huge help."

Seriously? She ttc for 3 entire years and never found out she wasn't ovulating on day 14? I mean a 5 min google seach can find you that. Goodness knows what all her research consisted of. I feel really bad she tried for that long but it does make you wonder.

    Or this one:

"I was having problems getting pregnant, started using this after 18 months of trying, found that I was ovalating at different times of the month. Which helped us out and am currently pregnant!"

There are other reviews saying similar things, like they had no idea when they were ovulating, been ttc for a year, then used the monitor and got pregnant straight away. Its seems like they just had no idea how to look out for ovulation!

A quick read of FF would have been a lot cheaper!

It just frustrates me because its the same when I read reviews of books about how to get pregnant quicker, all these people saying oh wow I read this and got pregnant 5 minutes later. But then when you look at the book its about CM or charting.

I feel like there is not much more than can help me now except waiting and bding! Which is very annoying :)
