Trying for a Baby Part 9

Morning!
Why are people putting wee in the fridge....have I missed something?!
Becca - lets hope you pop the eggs very soon! Thats great that you have 3 mature follicles tho - PMA!
Miskate - when I came off the pill my cycles were anything but regular for about the first 12 months - dont worry its absolutely normal! It takes time for your body to adjust to doing things itself instead of what a chemical tells it. You could keep on doing the OPK's. AF didnt appear for 73 days when I stopped taking the pill. I just want you to not worry! It will all settle down.
Loulou - hope you can get out and get another test later!
Creditcrunch - sorry to read your news - hugs.
Picklekin - good luck with the plan!
Lemon treet - amazing weight loss!!!!!:T
Had an amazing weekend - pretty much all outside at different shows and 2 BBQ's - we've beat last years record in one weekend!
AFM according to the amazing lists (I use them to remind myself what day it is! - thanks Becs) - I am 11DPO today. As I know my body is incapable of ovulating I am not going to bother testing. My LP is usually 11 days so I guess AF due tomorrow - if I got my alleged OV date right. If that is the case I can start my Clomid on Wednesday
Hope yuo all have a good day xxxx0 -
Omg girls - I am so chuffed today! Got my first ever peak on cbfm ! So relieved as thought maybe a problem.. Got docs in am for swabs before work and then 2 nd of the 21 bloods Friday x
If you getting a peak yesterday means you're only 0dpo today, then by Friday you'll only be 4dpo so perhaps you should get the bloods pushed back til Monday? As you'd be 8dpo then which is much closer to 7dpo.0 -
CD2 for me.
I'm frankly baffled by this whole process, and I've only been doing it for one cycle so far.
Background info: I am 27, husband is 28 and I came off the pill (Dianette) in January 2013.
My thoughts:
1. Last month I used OPKs from cd8 to cd22. I never once had a positive result, so made sure that we didn't go more than 1 or 2 days without doing it.
2. I was late by 4 days this month, making my cycle 35 days long. it seems to be increasing by 2s each month. It seemed to increase in length each month even before I came off the pill in January.
SO.
QUESTION *destiny's child face*
Should I bother with OPK this month?
Should I worry about the apparently neverending nature of my cycle and how it keeps increasing?
Do I need to shut up because I've only been trying for 1 month and it's ridiculous for me to be going on about my cycle at you lot?
What are you basing being 'late' on? You are only late if your period doesn't come more than 14 days after ovulation (unless your luteal phase is shorter than this).
So if last month you had a 35 day cycle, chances are you ovulated around day 21 however luteal phases can range from 10-16 days so its possible you didn't ovulate til day 25 and therefore you just missed it with the opks. Or it could be that the opks weren't workin properly for some reason.
Such as are you doing the opks at the right time of the day for the ones you have? Needs to be after 11am for the cheapies.0 -
Becca well done on 3 follies hope they pop for you soon.
Creditcrunch So sorry to read your news.
Miskate It can often take your body awhile to settle down after being on the pill.

Thank you all for your helpful responses.
I was 4 days 'late' based on the day I was predicted to start my period on fertility friend, which I've checked and was supposed to be 14 days before my period was due. We still managed to do it on both the day I was supposed to ov, and the day that I could have (presumably) ov'd 4 days late, although I know that doesn't mean much.
I've gone ahead and bought more OPKs and a thermometer to try using both this month - I was trying to use the OPKs as scientifically as possible, eg only after 2pm, but I'm not great at remembering not to drink so perhaps that affected it.

Becca - PMA for 3 follies. That's great news! I know you wanted the trigger (i still lurk) but you'll ov even without and that's upto 3 chances if they all pop. Clouds and silver linings and all that. Keeping my fingers crossed for you this month. Xx14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130

TMI alert....
So, have no idea what is going on with my crazy body on this AF. Normally, I have pretty light periods, 2-3 days only and regular as clockwork. Since having my colposcopy, they are irregular and a lot longer. However, for the first time this time, I am unbelievably heavy.
I changed tampon last night, went out for dinner to the local pub, and when I came back (1 1/2 hours max), I'd bled all the way through and my underwear/clothes were covered. Lots of really large congealed blobs/clots in it too (apologies, I know this is TMI, but where else can we talk about this kind of thing?:o) which again I've never had before. Anyone had anything similar or any ideas what's going on?
DH wants me to go to the doctor, but I feel like a bit of a fraud saying "I've had one really heavy period"? Came off the pill in November, can this still be after effects?.0
