    Sorry for cramps code.

Didn't expect anything else really. Sigh. I am puzzled as to why I'm also getting ov type pain. Stupid reproductive bits.

Still nothing really to report here, spotting has stopped now, so unless AF makes an appearance I'll buy a test tonight (which means AF will arrive 10th mins after I've done it! If last couple of months are anything to go on.)

I did feel nauseous this morning, first thing at work and I'm knackered but I'm not reading anything into it to be honest. Im virtually certain I'll get a BFN on the test.

Sam - try not to worry and try to take it slow, your pregnant be happy and take each day as it comes

Code if you feel dirty after using antibacterial handwash and cleaner on the ring, take it to a jewellers and let them clean it, that should make you feel better

Not much to report this end as I got a +opk am I 1 dpo here?

    Take it easy girls

Sorry bout your dh friend hope you are ok at this sad time

Cramps and spotting here (really the third day of spotting). Meh. At least I've had the energy to prepare and can a bit of fruit today. Pears and pineapple so far, with peaches and kiwi fruit still left to go. I'd do more, but I'm running out of jars far too quick for my taste.

    Hi everyone.

I'm intrigued about the mooncup....how do they work exactly? Heard about them a little while ago but have not seen them for sale anywhere.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your DH friend Claire.

As for the cramps lets hope its not for AF but if it is then at least the start of another cycle is a positive thing and no more waiting this month.

I have picked up my Clomid today from the pharmacy. Has anyone here used it or know of anyone that has? I've read the leaflet and it mentions side effects and multiple pregnancy....

Congratulations to Sam - that most definitely looks like a BFP. I've never had 2 lines on anything other than an OPK...which then doesnt mean anything as I am apparently not ovulating. xx

Congrats to Sam - try not to worry, that is easier said than done I know, but worrying will just make your body more stressed.

Hugs to everyone on CD1 and thereabouts.

Afm, have had a really nasty bug or food poisoning and (TMI alert) it has been coming out of me at both ends IYSWIM..... This has massively curtailed Operation BD and so we only managed to BD twice during the relevant time.

So, not holding out much hope but feel more prepared for next months now. My trial CBFM has arrived today so I'll be reading up on it tonight and I've also got OPKs and a thermometer good to go.

I'm a bit confused about the temping though - some places I've read said it should spike and then go down whereas others refer to it staying high???? What exactly should I be looking for?

Hi Becs, sorry to hear about the food poisoning. I had norovirus last year and that was one of the most awful things so I can really sympathise with you!

I believe that your temperature will spike and stay high (above the coverline) and then dip again (below the line) if you are not pregnant. If I'm wrong then I am sure someone will put you right!

Mooncups are a sort of reusable sanitary protection thingy. I think I got mine at Boots using my advantage card. It's basically a silicon cup shaped a bit like an egg cup that you insert (sort of by folding it over) and then suction keeps it in place. The menstrual blood collects in the cup then you just remove it (it has measuring marks so you can keep track of how much your flow is), tip it down the toilet, give it a wee clean and pop it back in. I thought it'd be messy but it's not - the outside of the cup doesn't get any blood on it and it feels cleaner and less drying than a tampon. The downsides are that on the first couple of days of heavy flow you might want to wear a towel or pantyliner until you're used to it - I now do dance classes with it without towels and the initial outlay is quite expensive - I think it was about £20 but I've been using mine for about 5 years so I guess it's paid for itself. It also takes a bit of time to get used to using it - particularly removing it.
