Twig - Your body doesn't synthesize LH until later on in the day so a lot of people choose to test mid afternoon for the most accurate result. Having said that, it differs for every woman so you just have to find what is best for you. Some people test once a day, others test 3 or more. The LH surge differs for every woman and It depends on what you catch it. You could catch it on the way up, in the middle, or the way down and still get a positive result although a lot of people misread tests. Once you get a positive OPK, you'll usually ovulate between 12 and 36 hours later (depends on when you catch the surge, obviously)

    Happy Birthday Birdie :)

Becca I don't know what to say, but i really hope you're one of those who says in two weeks time 'i didn't think we'd dtd enough for a bfp...' :)
    That sounds familiar ;)

Becca, you're not out. Try to (dreaded word) relax and let the blood flow to your uterus :)
that ol devil hope has returned and i'm blaming BigZ, i can no longer think 'well if it's not happened by now naturally it's not going to' as that treacherous voice goes 'but it did for her!' lol
    Sorry about that :p

Thanks for the congrats mrsj28! :D

I decided to also take my hayfever tablets from yesterday :( I know you can't take them when pregnant but I could still be here in a year like the first time, so I didn't see the point in suffering through the summer for no reason, If and when I get a BFP, I'll just stop taking them.......
Turn that frown upside-down! I took antihistamines prescribed by the doc through 2.5yrs of ttc. When I saw my new gp last week, after the bfp, he took me off them but prescribed me piriton, as he said it was the only one considered safe. So why not just take those and stop fretting? There's also advice out there saying if you have asthma, part of controlling it well for pregnancy is to take antihistamines.

In case anyone is wondering, I have had an early NHS scan booked in for me, to check for ectopic, considering my dodgy tubes history -it's next thursday

    Congratulations goppers!

    Happy birthday birdie!

    Good luck ladies

Hello everyone! Congratulations Goppers, hope you have a very happy, healthy and straight forward 9 months!

Codemonkey - haha, I love Family Guy and had the intercourse song in my head all night after that! Weirdly enough, it came after a day of having this in my head - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XYrqYVialk
As for ewcm after ov, I do get some a week or so before af, but only small amounts, so not sure about yours sorry.

Becca - grr to uncooperative OHs. Really hope you managed to catch it anyway.

Teamlowe - I'm sooooo glad you said that about spots!! I'm a squeezing weirdo too.

Happy birthday Birdie! Hope your OH woke up and gave you your pressies. Have a lovely day.

Kynthia - good luck for husband's results today, fingers crossed for you both. Hope you ov soon.

Not much going on here at the moment. CBFM is telling me I can test if I want to so may just do that tomorrow as af is due Friday/Saturday. If I do though, it means storing my pee in the fridge... Hmm! (I'm on the trial btw, not some pee hoarding weirdo!).

Becca - Is annoying that your OH got ill, like other's have said at least you did bd a few days before OV. Big hugs though and fingers crossed.

Thiftylass - Hope you get your BFP this month, will keep reading this post.

AFM day three of flashing smiley face, bd night before last and will again tonight. Feeling a bit unhappy with job atm too which isn't helping things.

Becca - Not sure if anyone else has said it, but only 3 cycles of clomid does seem a bit hasty IMO. You could always get a prescription privately, but then again you've had tracking scans so maybe it's because of OHHS. I seem to remember you mentioning that.

Big hugs. Keep the faith. Cycle 2 worked but ended badly and this pregnancy was cycle 3......

Becca sorry if youve said but have you ov on the clomid? if so it does seem quite hasty to pull it already.

    Hello Ladies

    Congratulations Gobber, great news!

Happy birthday Birdie, I hope you're having a lovely day.

Nothing much to report here, in the 2ww until Saturday (if i can wait that long to test) and I've got no symptoms at all so not feeling very positive this month despite dtd at the right time. I'm not out yet but have started to draw up my "benefits of not being pregnant" list to soften the blow if/when af arrives!?
