Well, the doc says he's at the end of what he can do for me himself and wants me to see an obstetrician maybe for an HCG or whatever else they suggest - as I have Bupa cover I'm going to use that as it'll be a lot quicker - and he is also sending me for 21 day bloods (although in my case it'll be 24 day bloods). So at least I'm not being fobbed off.

Angeltreat what has your doctor done for you so far?

Littleme - I've had an ultrasound so far to check for cysts, and been for an X ray and had several blood tests for kidney function/urinary infection to see if that was the cause of abdominal pain I've been having (which it wasn't, and a Bupa doctor who used to work as an ob/gyn said it was almost definitely fallopian tube-related).

I think they were more interested in what was causing chronic abdominal pain than the lack of a baby, really. But we have been properly trying for 8 months and NTNP for about a year before that so really it's about time I got to the bottom of what's going on.

Purcy great news that you are not at risk of redundancy :D I also have a cbfm and the first few months I got highs from around cd8.

Claire HAPPY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY for tomorrow :j
I had to have blood tests and an ultrasound to confirm PCOS (pretty evident from my ridiculous cycles though!). As my cycles were so long I was then referred to the FS (which they were not sure about at first as usually you have to be trying 2 years in my area but lack of periods/ovulation, previous PID and PCOS are 3 reasons for jumping that hoop). Before the referral I had to have more bloods, 4 lots of swabs and DH had to have a SA. We went to the clinic (got an appointment in 12 days!) and they scanned me, looked at my PCOS and cycle length (at that point 85 days) and decided clomid was the best action for me. Hope you get somewhere soon :) Also I did book an appointment with someone else afterwards

skaps hope you do get a cancellation. Are you seeing gynae or FS? Huge hugs for CD1

angeltreats hope ov happens soon! Also I hope that being referred helps and they are able to give you the right tests.

twigpig it was 5 months with my parents so DH's in laws. It was fine for me and he actually gets on better with them than I do. Not great for BD though!

Birdie great news that you got OH to BD! At last!

TL HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU on Sunday! :j

    Welcome mancbird

littleme I hope you don't need the SA appointment!

Thank you for the welcomes :)

faithhope fancy our wee ones being born on the same day, twinnies lol :) F was almost two weeks late though so they should have been born nearly a month apart! How mad is that? As it was, he was due on the same date I was meant to have been born on, but this was put back three days at my scan and in the end I got married on that day instead. He was born the day before my birthday :)

Those who were on the boards at the same time as me last time might remember that I was the loon who woke up one morning at 37 weeks pregnant and decided I wanted to get married before the baby arrived, cue a mad dash to organise a wedding and we got married at 39+4 without telling anyone (except the girls on here!) what we had done. There were some very shocked family members that day lol :)

Anyway, I'm away to cook tea and get F to bed now so hope everyone has a good night xxx

    Hi all

Had the absolute day from hell today. Long work related story involving mass redundancies and enforced relocation for all the 'safe' staff. :( Fortunately I'm keeping my job but will now have a 35 minute train journey (plus have to pay the train fare). I never drink on a school night but I've just poured myself a large glass of red.....! Purcy - glad to hear you are also safe. It's really horrid though isn't it. :( Ours came completely out of the blue too!

Claire & TL - HAPPY WEDDING ANNIVERSARIES! Hope you and your OHs have a great time celebrating! :T

Gelly - glad to hear that you are feeling a little better. Losing someone you love is the hardest thing. I am sure that you have plenty of wonderful memories to remember him by.

Welcome Mancbird! - in the best possible way, I hope you stay here is short and sweet!

Samtoby - yay for smily face! :T get BDing!

Anyway - back to my wine! Hope everyone has had better days than me!

:j so happy - just got a BFN on a pregnancy test! Hope this means I can move on from them the miscarriage - onwards and upwards now and fingers crossed my normal cycle will now return! Sorry - just had to share!
  • Claire and TL enjoy your anniversaries! May you have many more happy ones to come, too :D

Sophiasmum thanks for sharing your update, hopefully you cycles will return soon.

Becca thanks as ever for doing the lists.

mancbird I also have an October 2011 baby, a little girl. Sorry to hear about your mc :kisses3: but very best wishes with ttc

AFM, had the call from Clearblue today... hope I don't need to use the monitor but it's en route to me now and the £50 would certainly come in handy (obv would rather have a BFP instead!) I have also had a faint line on cheapie OPK - I know it has to get dark for it to be positive, but at least I'm producing some sort of hormones :TI think I must be close to ov as I'm so weepy and emotional, DH and I had a nasty row last night about... wait for it... One Direction!:rotfl:
