Do Jet2 etc charge xtra for a carrier bag of duty free as well as 1 x hand luggage?

Just wondered as I'm going on w/end break and don't want to it end up costing more than i've saved in buying the duty free. I've phoned jet2 and jet2 holidays and they gave 2 different answers but neither person sounded convincing and there's no email I can find to get anything in writing from Jet2. Country's going to dogs when you can't get answer to a simple Q

You are allowed one small piece of hand baggage weighing no more than 10kg and dimensions not in excess of 56x45x25cm, including wheels and handles. Any piece of baggage that does not meet these requirements will need to be checked in as hold baggage and the relevant fee will be charged.
However......at some airports you might see tatty signs blagged everywhere ' XYZ Airlines say you may take a carrier bag of your Duty Free purchases in addition to your one piece of hand baggage'
Ryanair have these signs plastered all over Leeds Bradford Airport.
I have seen different one in other airports.
BUT & it is a big BUT.......both airlines T&C's say one piece ONLY so I personally would not risk it.
I would always leave room in my hand baggage for any purchases in case some overly officious jobsworth starts waving the rule book at you.
You will be well p*ssed off if you have spent £150 on duty free to have it taken off you !!!
Dont risk it is my advice.

As far as I am aware you can take whatever duty free you want.
The shops pay a lot of money to be at the airport, it would be pointless if people couldnt buy things. As long as it is duty free and as far as I am aware, you can take whatever you bought at the airport (with receipts) on the plane.

Jet2 never have a luggage gague at the gate like Easyjet/Ryanair. Only at check-in can you find them.

Yes you can take it on the plane BUT it has to fit in your ONE piece of hand luggage.
If it does not you run the risk of either paying extra to take it on or loosing it.

I buy duty free whenever I go and I have never been questioned about my duty free in the duty free carrier bags....the restrictions are that they must remain sealed.

Sealed or not its an extra pice of hand luggage ............
If you take one piece of hand luggage plus another carrier bag of duty free / hand bag whatever you are breaking the low cost airlines T&C's.
You have been lucky up to now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe someone ought to ask Jet2? I know easyjet allow one item of hand luggage and one carrier bag of duty free.

Lots of airlines allow duty free purchases in addition to their published carry-on allowances. As OTB says, why simply contact Jet2 to find out what their policy is?

The airport retailers pay a lot of money to have the shops there so the airlines have to allow you to use them. I have never had a problem to be fair. I am unsure what is the law or what isn't but that's the way I thought it worked....
