Are you cutting it too short?- try the lawn mower on a higher setting for a bit. My lawn is the same - its partly the moss, but also we've not had much rain of late, and I'm presuming that also makes a difference. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
The feed and weed will work but use it in conjunction with a good chicken manure pellet fertilizer, readily available at garden centres. Mow the lawn and give a generous scattering of the pellets and then water in, they do smell a bit for a day but the results are worth it. Continue to scatter after every cut as well as scattering the feed and weed aswell.0

Can I ask if that is safe for children to play on after its been watered in? I would love a nice lawn but keeping DD off it long enough is a problem.Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Give the lawn a good rake. You need to remove all the dead grass and moss. If you have used a weed and feed, you need to water it in otherwise it will not work.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

To get a better lawn takes time, only weed and feed every other year and let it grow, don't cut it in this weather any more than once a fortnight and set the mower on high, make sure you collect your clippings to prevent thatch. It will be greener, healthier, thicker and as this happens it will naturally push out the moss and weeds. It has taken me four years to recover a bare, yellow moss ridden lawn to thick green grass with only a small area still troubled by moss by using the above method.0
