What do you buy a man for Valentines day?

I'm completely at a loss this year!

Last year I was confined to my house so I got creative and made him a cheese cake (that was a home made oat biscuit base with different cheeses on it - he loves cheese), this year I am much more mobile but completely stuck!

Any inspiration at all is appreciated.

As a married man...and I suspect this is unlikely to be the response most males give...I don't actually want anything at all.

I don't want an overpriced card that'll be going in the bin soon after and I don't want a present. Just spend some time with me. Share a bottle of wine or two and watch a film together. That'd do me.

Having said that I've just ordered my wife some flowers and chocolates, because she'd never let me hear the end of it if I didn't.

Quality time with the missus. That's all I'd want.

But then I'm not your other half, soooooo....what are his hobbies? Find one he's really into at the moment and research online to see what you can get him that he hasn't already got for that hobby.
  • He gets nothing! He's got me - that should be enough!

I was behind someone in Asda on Saturday and she'd bought a hideous flourescent pink 'netting' babydoll set - a frilly top and matching knickers. It was truly awful. I haven't see anything like that outside of a 70's porno mag!

I can only assume she'd bought it as a Valentines 'gift' for her man. Eurgh.

I wouldn't give anybody something for Valentine's day except their favourite sexual activity.

Lovely home cooked meal? Fillet steak, chips followed by you covered in whipped cream?
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Nothing. We don't buy each other overpriced Valentines cards or gifts. We exchange 'saw this and thought of you' gifts throughout the year, we don't need a date in the diary to declare our love for each other. :)
Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!!
