Wedding venues in Staffordshire/Cheshire?

2.1K Posts

Hi all, OH and I aren't even engaged yet but we are planning on getting engaged later this year and want to pay for the wedding ourselves as it's second-time round for both of us. Hence we need to know how much we need to start saving!
We live in Stoke on Trent, but want to get married in the Staffordshire/Cheshire area as it's a bit nicer than where we live
Does anyone have any recommendations for venues? I have searched and found a lot online but I guess word-of-mouth is one of the most effective ways of sussing out what is good value for money and where people have enjoyed being.
We'd want somewhere where we can have the ceremony and the reception in the same place (so no extra travelling for guests).
Any recommendations or good sites to search would be appreciated
Thanks x

I know you asked for Staffs and Cheshire but could you also consider Biggin Hall in Derbyshire, it's in the Peak District and Buxton has a handful of venues too.
In Staffs, there is the 3 Horseshoes and Dunwood Hall just outside Leek, The Ashes at Endon, Moddershall Oaks in Stone and then Consall Hall and gardens.
We looked at the Ashes and loved the look of it, the only drawback was there was no accommodation on-site but there might be some nearby.

Of course I'm going to be biased but it is lovely!
