I appreciate this thread is a year old, but just in case anyone is looking now that it's been bumped, the venue is in administration so I would be cautious until things are sorted.0 -
I am getting married at Nunsmere Hall, Tarporley, Cheshire. It's beautiful. Also viewed Thornton Manor which was AMAZING. Neither of them cheap though.
Someone reccommended Walton Hall, Warrington. I went there and found it a total dump. Maybe it's nice done up for a wedding but it was awful just to view. The man was unhelpful (seriously, even if I loved the venue the guy who showed me and my Mum round was rude and a bit weird to be honest) and it took me forever just to get an appointment to view because they just didn't respond. Each to their own but I wouldn't waste your time with so many other gorgeous venues in the area.0 -
We're getting married at Chester Zoo in the manor house there
Our guests get free parking / entry to the zoo (and time there) and we have paid a small amount extra for everyone to have a "safari" around the zoo after it's closed
It's costing about a quarter of what places like Thornton Manor charge and is just as spectacular! The staff there are excellent and it also helps that we like animals.
The house is featured on "Our Zoo" on BBC at the moment, and the zoo has won all kinds of awards recently too0 -
I know this is an old thread but if anyone is still looking then we got married six months ago at Mythe Barn. Amazing venue, in Warwickshire so beautiful countryside and fairly central to most people (as its around the Midlands).0

We got married at Chester Zoo 3 years ago - fantastic place and staff are superb. Sadly we didn't have the whole day there and went elsewhere for an evening party but the day was fantastic.
By the way in 'Our Zoo' they didn't actually use the Oakfield itself for filming - they used Walton hall in Warrington but the likeness is pretty good!0 -
Well, I always consider checking the list of popular venues on toshislivingroom.com. You can book various wedding venues ny from this website. So I recommend you to visit this website for more information regarding party places.0
